Turkey says it will take 'steps' after determining that Syria shot down missing jet

Full story: The Washington Post

BEIRUT - Turkey vowed to take "necessary steps" after concluding that Syria had shot down a Turkish fighter jet along the Syrian border on Friday, sending tensions soaring in the already fraught region.

Take steps by having the Prime Minister ask NATO to help protect Turkey.

All orchestrated?

The Times also reported that TURKEY has been directly delivering weapons to terrorists operating in Syria - Turkey being a NATO member and implicating NATO as now being directly involved in perpetuating bloodshed in the Middle Eastern nation. For months, Turkey has been allowing terrorists to use its border region as a refuge from which to stage attacks against Syria.

Despite this, however, the so-called "Free Syrian Army," according to the New York Times, consists of only 100 or so small formations made up of "a handful of fighters to a couple of hundred combatants," betraying the narrative that the Syrian government faces a large popular uprising, and revealing that the "Free Syrian Army" is in fact a small collection of mercenaries, foreign fighters, and sectarian extremists, armed, funded, and directed by foreign interests solely to wreak havoc within Syria. It should be noted that these terrorist proxies were organized as early as 2007 by the US, Israel, and Saudi Arabia, specifically to enact regime change and transform Syria into a Western client regime.

As the West's propaganda campaign imploded after a torrent of unsubstantiated claims of "massacres" and "atrocities," all unverified, some in fact being revealed as the work of the West's sectarian proxies themselves, it appears that sidelining Syria in headlines while pursuing a clandestine proxy war is now the tactic of choice for the time being.

Turkey did not retaliate immediately but has paused to study the situation an admirable policy. The syrians on the other hand are bragging about shooting down the jet that was in turkish air space.

Turkey is supplying weapons, good for them, russia is supplying weapons to the Syrian regime.

this is a war not a ping pong game and it is going to get a lot worse very quickly, turkey is not a small airforce and Syria does not have domination over Turkey.

The jet had no right to be in Syrian airspace and Syria had every right to shoot it down as any other country would do if faced with the same situation.Certainly this was done by the american government and israel to create more problems as most people can see.

Absolutely not, human beings would call the other and talk, but not this idiot, he is just begging for a fight, he is not human and is loosing control of his senses day by day. Remember Turkey used to be an ally of Syria and according to the reports the flight was not inside Syrian waters, check again.

The Syrian Government and supporters are detaching themselves further from reality.

Will the shooting down of a Vietnam War era jet (an F-4 Phantom) make them feel confident about their military capability?

Once again you are lying. If this were to happen in america the american government would not think twice about shooting down the plane no matter what kind it was.Turkey has for years been a puppet country which is controlled by the american government and israel just like bahrain, qatar, saudi arabia, uae etc.Syria has every right to shoot down a military jet which has come into its airspace.

Even if the Turkish fighter was in Syrian airspace doesn't mean you shoot it down, it's 2012 not 1950. The Syrian should have asked them to leave as it was more than likely a mistake.
Canada isn't controlled by Britain, it's controlled by Canadians.

It's got sod all to do with the yanks it's call your military murdering it's own people instead of protecting them which is what a nations standing military is there for.
This is proven by the Syrian fighter pilot defecting to Jordan. This man is very brave and in my opinion the next leader of the syrian air force.
Assad is just trying to hold on to power, can't you see that.
