France now neutral on Quebec

Oct 15, 2012 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: The Chronicle Herald

France has officially revived its traditionally neutral policy on Quebec independence that was temporarily interrupted under the resolutely pro-Canadian-unity era of Nicolas Sarkozy.

It would be a great way to keep the anglos in check. You mess, I mess, that's how it goes.
We can also rebuild Quebec and Quebec City, restore its lost beauty and bring down all the ugly skyscrapers that the wasps erected.
Then quebec people can take French lessons because their French and their accent and their spelling is horrendous. It's not "char" but "voiture". Quebec women are open though!:) Montreal has the best strip bars in North America, I miss this city.

"Motherland France" haha, incase you can't remember, britain kicked your French asses out of Canada centuries ago, the French were totally outclassed in north America by great Britain, the same way we outclassed you over the entire planet, that's why its an Anglo world and France is nowhere, that's why you speak English and I don't speak French
Who cares?

French culture is superior to all other cultures! The French language is magic, it is basically the essence of beauty....obviously it takes work to master it. English is a cheap stupid language anyone can learn!

France is the destination of fashion, France is the birth place of liberty and romance! There is no greater gift than to be with a French male no greater embodiment of grace than the Frenchwomen!

I wish I was French or of French ancestry!

A) It is well known that out of the languages that use the same alphabet set, English is the hardest to learn because it's a dog's breakfast of a language.
B)You've never heard a Quebecois accent cuz there's nothing refined, cultured, or romantic about it.

First of all, who's this "WE" yer talkin' about, foreign boy? YOU and France have ZERO say in anything that happens in Canada, and that still includes Quebec.
Secondly, your entire post shows you know nothing of Canada and Quebec except your last sentence, that just shows how shallow you are.
Tighten its ties with the Motherland LMFAO. You know what the Quebecois did during WW2? They refused the draft to go and fight "England's war". Now, here's a history question for you. Which country did 150,000 men amphibiously assault on June 6th, 1944 to begin its liberation? Bonus question: What was the ONLY country in Western Europe, besides Switzerland, that DIDN'T need liberating? You see where I'm going with this right?
This isn't to say there were NO French-Canadians fighting in WW2. In fact, French-Canadian units were involved in pretty much every major action the Canadian army was in.
And even now, like then, there are still many in Quebec who consider themselves to be CANADIAN!! And that includes many Francophones.
Quebec is now farther away from popular separation than they've been over the last 3 decades.
As far as Quebec City goes, if you don't like the juxtapostion of Old World charm and New World architecture, screw ya, no-one asked you to come here anyway. Those skyscrapers represent business and commerce in Quebec City and throughout the province, a province that desperately needs all it can get.

And finally, France isn't stupid enough to tie itself up with North America's most corrupt territory. Then again, the French do seem pretty comfortable living with fascism as long as it doesn't affect them directly.

French culture is nothing, the reason France has no power or influence in the world is because of the superiour British culture, modern democracy was created by britain, so your home of liberty is more nonsense, British and American music, movies, television, videogames, internet ,modern art dominates the world, while France doesn't have any modern culture at all and is a total irrelivence in the world. Canada is Canada and always will be

One of the things I love about Canada are the great skylines, even your small cities have better skylines than most continental European bigger cities, Toronto right now is booming, somehow Canada has managed to avoid the global recession that usa and Europe are in

Meh, we didn't so much avoid it as Canada had a budget surplus just before 2008. Our banks are also centrally controlled which prevents them from getting involved in nonsense like sub-prime mortgages.
As for Toronto, it's not so much booming as trying to keep up with 100,000+ immigrants that settle there EVERY year.
And finally, I'd say oil and other natural resources that Canada is a major exporter of, have had a hand in Canada not suffering through the recession as badly as most other countries.

It's just a shame certain elements in Quebec hadn't spent the time, money and energy they wasted with separation crap on convincing the rest of Canada that Quebec is a beautiful province, and to come visit and emebrace the culture of the province.
I have long said since I first visited Quebec City, that the city is Canada's best kept secret. Montreal is a great party city. The Gatineaus in autumn are breathtaking.
If more Canadians had been encouraged to visit Quebec, the province might feel or even be more appreciated.

..... I'm reminded of the saying "He/She thinks that the grass is greener on the other side of the fence" or similar. People living in Quebec should be generally as happy as people living elsewhere in Canada.

The US Contitution is based on the ideas of Les Lumieres, it is based on French ideas. France also helped the US free itself from England. Yes how misinformed can someone be to think that the US constitution is based on England's, you must be a complete idoit.

Quebec should be expelled from Canada, like Greece should be expelled from the EU. They are too corrupt, irresponsible, and stupid to be in. They want everyone else to pay for their stupid mistakes, and on top of that they want to blame everyone but themselves for their miserable failures. Kick them out!
