Militias are destroying the future of Libya.
The longer they keep their weapons or use them to influence the political process the less foreign investment there will be.
Libya needs Tourism and reconstruction in addition to oil.
The greedy men of the Militias see retaining their weapons as a means to ensure they get more of the Oil revenue. They know they could not win in a democratic manner and retain power. MOre often than not they proclaim some sort of religious affiliation to justify their actions. This is anti Islam. Peace is Islam.
They do not care about good local jobs for normal people, they do not care about the safety and security of citizens from arbitrary harrassment and extortion, else they would turn in their weapons and integrate into the armed services of the country.
What will happen to their children? How will they grow up and get an education?
Gentlemen you are now faced with a responsibility to re-establish peace and a democratic state based on the rule of law.
HAve you not had enough of arbitrary and violent government after 40 years?
