Yes,i think the North Koreans should not accept any food donations from the US or South Korea. China is providing enough of these to the North Korea without any conditions. The Chinese is also assisting the North Koreans in industrialisation, market-economy and some forms of management. So in times of conflict, the North will not be blackmail by these powers and will rely on their own.

This will help reduce tension in the Korean Peninsula.

lol. You communists refuse to admit when you're wrong. Both china and n korea would starve without America. Just look at the difference between the two countries and you will see how that system fails. The only place to get a meal is in the military.

Why just give N. Korea aid? Are there employment opportunities in S. Korea so they can afford to purchase their own food?

idgaf...let them create their own opportunities. If their leaders were sane, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

To be fair, the US refused to admit that their policy on North Korea is wrong and non-workable. Their continuos support for South Korea militarily only prevent korea unification.Recently it again incite the conservative south Korean govt to provoke the North, leading to neightened tension and threats of war.

America is facing a unfavorable domestic economic conditions and bogged down by wars in Iraq and Afganistan. China on the other hand is growing economically powerful everyday despite its communist but market style system. America would faced even more crisis without China's assistance and cooperation.

The most important thing now is to lower tension and faciliate peace between the 2 Koreas.North Korea is not Panama where foreign forces can go in and out easily. North Korea would bring south Korea , Japan and the US into a conflict which may cost thousands and thousands of innocent lives.

Only peace in the region can help US maintain a favourable relations with China and the rest of Asia.

You loons just don't get it. I have two friends that have been deployed to the DMZ. The nuts in the north regularly send suicide units across to cause trouble. One friend of mine in the marines said he was involved in a major gunfight with a number of NK commandoes that had swam ashore to try and capture one of our men. We've given these animals every opportunity to koin the peaceful community of nations and all they do is get more bellicose. Let their enablers in china foot the bill.
