Oh yeah does that mean she is going to make the states accountable, their share in the energy hikes is up by 50%. that is about the percentage it rose by in WA alone..
Make them accountable like the telco's to the TIO it is the only government body helping the consummer, make the states and private companies submit accounts and records and quotes on infrastructure prices else they can keep bullshitting and lying about their need for these hikes and keep using them to make profits that are unsastainable. Too little too late or just in time to save your arse Julia...It has taken the Labor government since 2007 to realise there is a problem with the energy departments and the governments share in them and their huge percentage hikes. They are only stepping in now to make sure that the carbon tax isn't blamed for more than the 10% extra we pay on the already 50-70% the consummer is suffering at having to pay.

Your a nut mate all the electricity companies in Q'ld are private companies, none are run by the Gov. Energex is Gov owned but it only maintains the Poles wires and grids, its not in the supply business. The suppliers are the ones that dictate the prices and together with Gilliars Carbon tax we get a real wack. How are you going to control it. This PM is an ex Commo and she will try to control all business if she can. Next it will be retailers like Coles and Woolys. It she's so keen about this plan of hers why doesn't her Socialist Gov by all the electricity companies and run the the electricity supply. The tax payer will love that. This bitch is desperate to hang on and will as a last resort apply her Commo idears to business if she can get away with it.

The problem with domestic power bills , is the retailers that have entered the market. They are not needed, because they are nothing more than middlemen companies ,that produce nothing but a bill for consumers, and make a healthy profit from doing it.....they were allowed into the market by the previous Coalition government.....why?

I suppose you could say that about telco's yet they seem to have no trouble keeping your costs down if you know where to look, and if they don't the TIO keep them to it...
This should happen with Energy...
