The UN is a joke these days. To even hold a vote while Hamas, a terrorist organization, is in power. Democratically elected or not.
Isreal needed/needs Hamas, a terror organization to get elected to power. So the counters to the idea of Isreal is vilified and slighted. Hamas is a fool that Israel needed in the opposition's ranks.

What would the Aussies say if it was proved that the Sri Lankans' ancient religious homeland (2000 yrs ago) was the holy land of Australanka, and an all powerful asia thought it a good idea to give them back their homeland, a Southern Isreal (australanka) in the choicest heart of OZ (southeast coast?). Get rid of the Lankans from asia, AND turn the aussies into fanatic terrorists at the same time.

SIMPLY BRILLIANT yeah?

Of course we need a Holocaust of the Lankans, and a new Nazi state (India?).

Six million Lankans killed in Asia will= Six million Lankans settled in Australia?!?

And then we'll be making threads in forums about the Australia-Australanka non-peace process for a long time to come.

It was suggested today that Labour wanted to keep certain Sydney suburbs' votes - and this persuaded Labour to soften their stance on what WOULD have been a "NO" to the vote.

Gillard was forced to change her position to neutral after a meeting with her Labour colleagues who wanted her to vote YES to a Pal state.

"Despite a tradition of staunch support for Israel from the Right, Laborís already precarious prospects in western Sydney electorates with a high concentration of people of Middle Eastern backgrounds was a key factor requiring a more balanced approach to the Israel-Palestinian conflict.

NSW ministers Bob Carr, Tony Burke and Chris Bowen were among those who argued against Ms Gillard, saying the best course was for Australia to sit on the fence and vote neither for nor against the resolution."

So at least we know who you really are, Bob, Tony, and Chris. http://www.nationaltimes.com.au/opinion/polit...
