What the heck is this about?

They both claim it's for 'personal reasons' but it seems really odd that both are leaving just now.

Quite obvious, Gillard knew in advance Thompson was going to be arrested. She informed her cabinet. Roxon and Evans decided they would rather jump ship now and take their chances with a Rudd led opposition in 9 months than go down with a sinking ship.

Roxon is however on the record as being anti-Rudd so don;t think she will be back

Oh it was Roxon. Thats great.
She was a real pigs foreskin. Good riddance to that b*tch.
She can spend more of her time on her true passion of painting over cigarettes packs with army green paint now.

NSW ALP polling showed the Keneally gov't would take a caning in the election & 4 members announced retirement before election. Federal ALP polling shows they will be sent a strong message & members are announcing retirement.

Roxon said she had been planning to retire for a year or so to spend more time with her daughter as she does high school - in 4 years time. But she only became Attorney General 12 months ago. WTF woman???

She wants to be in public office and then makes plans for herself without informing the Australian public, typical of some in Labor, lot of selfish types. Roxon was a private school girl (Prespeteryan Ladies College) and Melbourne uni law graduate from a upper middle class family in the leafy eastern suburbs of melbourne. Not really the social justice or working class type of person many in the labor party like to be 'affiliated' with.
