Fifteen years of CCP control and only broken promises, outright lies, and brainwashing?

At least under British rule HK had a real legal system, thriving free culture, and a future!

Now, HK has no future except as a suburb of dirty Schenzhen.

Poor Hong Kong!

NO WONDER they WANT THE BRITISH BACK!

No. The British don't want to rule Hong Kong.

HK should be independent and a democracy. The CCP are liars and will never change; there is no future in China for HK.

READ your article, Miro-tard:

"But analysts say the democrats also have themselves to blame for their failure to pose a more coherent challenge to the pro-Beijing elite, due to petty divisions within their ranks over technical issues."

Hong Kong, under the U.K. administration, did much better than they would have under the CCP.

What TF are you talking about?

How was Mainland China in 1960 compared to Hong Kong in 1960? Mainland China didn't create their huge GDP, the system was already in place before they took Hong Kong over in 1997.

BTW, the GDP of Mainland China is 5,000 and growth is slowing massively.

So many Chinese here in Canada happily escaping China...I meet them every day.

That's less growth than at any 15 year period in Hong Kong's entire history isn't it?

Since 1997 it's had more growth than Hong Kong and the people there have a massively higher standard of living than those in China.

Thanks for asking.

How many Chinese are in Canada? One million versus 1,339 million in China.

Economic growth slowing in China? Yes, from 9.2 % last year to 8.1 % this year. Big deal. Nothing a major stimulus couldn't solve.

You mean Hong Kong 5,937 years older than China and it was made successful by the people we now know as Taiwanese?

Think what you could have done if mainland China hadn't tried to overthrow that government?

You could be as prosperous as Taiwan is now..........
