The wheel of change in the judiciary system is starting to roll with the appointment of Chief Justice Sereno. The first woman to be given the highest position. However, I don't believe her gender made a whole lot of difference. Her credential is quite impressive and her personal qualification is beyond reproach.Considering the problem that has eroded the highest court, her age would be of great advantage. It might take so many years to absolutely change the attitude and the course of justice in the country. But certainly if you want the people to trust the court system as the bulwark of true democracy then having her in the helm is definitely a good start.

Jorge: I hope you're right on this one. I just hope she can do her job she suppose too. If she does maybe the philippines have hope for a better philippines! But, If she's not we're back to square one.

I'm just glad Carpio/Brion is not the one...Otherwise Gloria, well be protected.
