US battles for credibility on climate change

Full story: WSVN-TV Miami Beach

With Congress moving slowly on a measure to curb industrial greenhouse gas emissions, the United States may find itself with little sway at the coming international conference to construct a new pact aimed at easing global warming.

President Obama, and his energy Cabinet team have
already began the last December, Thursday 11th.
1997 "Kyoto" Japan reduction of greenhouse gases,
mainly carbon dioxide of 6% to 8% in 8 to 12 yrs.
so now it will be 2018/2022, by mandating higher
CAFE miles per gallon average I think eventually
35mpg, in lets say 8 years beginning now with
redesigned, retooled U.S. auto manufacturers/
importers, sic. Fiat as Chrysler's new owners,
as opposed to last "Mercedes Benz" luxury car
influence; and Canadians auto parts fabricator
buying GM's Opel brand, whose models in the late
1960's and through 1980 averaged about 25mpg.
and sold well in the U.S.
Now what remains is this coal plants CO2 stack
emissions reductions not by volunteering Refores-
tation CO2/heat absorption as China is doing now, as well as Wisconsin, on a 50 States forced mandate through the carrot-and-stick of forced
CO2 reduction caps cash penalties, with the mo-nies, or NYSE investment trades{much like the di-
sastrous REIT's {real estate investment trades}
which were all bought by Hedgefunds/Derivative
AIG Insured endemnities, betting the the sub-
prime overheated housing bubble would burst, and it did in the Fall of 2008, with NYSE equity
betting REIT' chips reduced in value from 2,5
million foreclosures, and Americans losing half
the value of their retirement 401K's, SEP's, Roth's,IRA's, etc!!
The bet that coal plants will eventually close
is unreal, but the trading of now cheap unlisted
COAL futures, will make oil/natural gas methane
go up again to $144/per 42 gallons of oil barrel,
and thus higher gasoline prices!
Voluntary Reforestation is the key! Not specula-
tive carbon caps trade NYSE betting chips!

Is there really a need for an, "international conference to construct a new pact aimed at easing global warming?"
Global warming appears to have eased itself, apparently taking a sabbatical for an as yet unknown period of time.

I've just ordered my stock of winter firewood and the C/H system will be serviced tomorrow, ready for a sharp winter, if it should happen.
