There are people who strictly deprive themselves of each and every eatable, drinkable, and smokable which has in any way acquired a shady reputation.
They pay this price for health.
And health is all they get for it.
How strange it is.
It is like paying out your whole fortune for a cow that has gone dry.

“You have to choose [as a voter] between trusting to the natural stability of gold and the natural stability of the honesty and intelligence of the members of the Government. And, with due respect for these gentlemen, I advise you, as long as the Capitalist system lasts, to vote for gold.”---G B Shaw

The rich countries who currently have EU membership would rather leave the EU completely, than become more closely integrated with Germany. Those include the "reluctant members" who are somehow part of the EU club but do not (and never will) use the euro - only the poorest countries want to stay part of the EU and eurozone, all the better so that they suck Germany dry. LOL.
