France is by no means a racist country (except for the far right) she has assimilated all peoples for longer then most other countries. The burka is not a religious symbol; it is a mark of the subjugation and submission of women. As for the security aspect, it can be worn by both men and women! Perhaps France should simply prohibit the covering of ones face in public as not to offend anyone by being too specific.
