Such a terrible story, my heart goes out to that 8 year old girl, I know she is going to have it bad, and I hope she gets the support she is going to need. As far as the 4 savages.......I mean boys, well, MAJOR consequences are in order. I don't think they will like having done what they did too much once they see the punishment for their actions. Hopefully their learn a valuable lesson.

My heart is breaking for her. As if the rape isn't bad enough, she's being rejected by the ones she needs the most.

Yes they are Liberian Muslims. And the girl's father has told authorities that He does not want the child for she has shamed him. This disgusting Muslim belief should be outlawed in the USA. And the parents should be deported or given stiff prison terms.

If the parent's response IS religiously motivated, it just reaffirms my belief that religion is harmful.

I just feel so sorry for the little girl. Her family, well, there are obviously no words other than complete sadness and anger. I really just hope she gets the TLC she needs.

It isn't about Islam or Christianity, it is about people that do not want to bring shame upon their families or face the reality of the situation. How many mother's out there have told their children, when their children have come to them, not to say anything about being molested by a parent or family member? I have heard this over and over and over again, a mother that tells her daughter to just let it go, the man "didn't realise" he was doing it or forgive him because he was drunk. Or how about this one...calling the daughter or son a liar when they tell them their spouse is sexually assaulting them? So, before you speak up against religions, such as Islam, think about what is going on in your own neighborhoods and has been allowed to happen for centuries. Or!!! How about this one? When a child does speak up, they are asked "why didn't you say something?" Putting the guilt on the child, instead of confronting the criminal and asking them "why they did it?" It this western world, how many times has a woman been assaulted and treated like trash because she has come forward? How many times was she blamed because of the way she was dressed or that she was intoxicated, so she asked for it? I think the Western world is fecked up if they think they are any better than a barbaric society that treats women that raped worse than the person that did the rape. We do it here, we are just a bit more polite about our prejudices against rape victims.

It's a shame when the parent should be blamed for not keeping a closer eye on their daughter. She's just a child after all. I wonder about the little boys that committed this crime. Who are their parents and how are they being raised? Hopefully social services is doing an investigation of the family life of these children.

A little girl gets raped by 4 boys while several others looked on. She is rescued by an adult and when the cops come her parents have the cops take the little girl away because SHE has shamed them. Do we want these people here? I live not too far from them and I don't want people with values like this living in my world let alone in my town. If I were the Attorney General of AZ I'd look so hard at these people that I bet I could find a way to lock them up.

It is said both families are refugees from Liberia. Thats doesnt make sense, Liberia is a former slave country for freed US black slaves. To become an immigrant one must not be a criminal. I's deport the kids and family who perpertrated the crime of raping. We dont want those boys here for another day! The boys parents are scums
