Nicole;

If you have any questions about my agency, please let me know. I understand my meeting was not as informative on Wednesday as I normally try to conduct. I had a fever, chills and believe me...I have not been this sick in about 15 years!!! I'm sorry if I left you with concerns and was a bit off. Again, please let my team or myself know of any questions and concerns about my agency you may have. Our office number toll free is 1-877-781-3180.

The Keen Agency is listed under the Better Business Bureau. I know this because I checked on their website and I called them. They received a Better Business Bureau grade of A-. This business is legit because I received a reliability report on this agency.

Keep in mind this is a relatively new business. Give them time to really establish themselves a name. Deborah L. Keen is doing an excellent job in promoting this company. She devoted sweat and hard work to give this agency a good name. To all these people who think this agency is a scam, they are just uneducated and jealous because she is so successful.

I'm getting sick and tired of people accusing this agency of not being true. I properly checked out this business through the Attorney General, the Better Business Bureau, and the U.S. Department of Labor.

Another point to think about: This agency reports on their website and on their call back sheets that they are a licensed and bonded modeling agency. Why would they promote this if it were not true?

If it were not true, they could be sued for falsifying information.

This is a licensed and bonded modeling agency.

I did my homework on this agency. I did the research of what a typical modeling agency should be doing. Everything matches up.

Anybody who is suggesting this is a scam does is not thinking logically. They are not thinking logically because they are not properly checking out this agency. People are not using good judgement. People are just being so narrow minded and judge for themselves what the agency is.

Take it from me, I have been scammed before by a company. It was not fun. I have taken what I learned from that and applied it to this agency.

Truly yours,

Goodboy3432,

As I received the notice via email on a "post" for Topix I began to cringe once again! However, I am very passionate about my company and what we are doing that I still have to dive right in and take care of my reputation.

What a pleasant surprise to see your comment and back up what I speak about at my meetings and to also "know" what you have learned by your mistakes as well. I made and continue to make mistakes every day of my life and I learn greatly from those more than from my successes(those are EASY).

I do appreciate your feedback and hope that you, too, can help others by sharing your experiences. If we can be of further help you to at this time or in the near future, please know....as I encourae 'everyone', just call us!!!! We are here to help.

My daughter went to an open call and was selected. My husband was shocked by the cost of the sitting fees; I was not. Having lived in NYC, Boston and Seattle, I can tell you that $349.00 is very reasonable. My daughter had pictures taken for ballet auditions by a NYC photographer, who also does model shots, and he charged $650, gave us 4 pictures, and owns the rights to her photos.

I see a lot of comments from people calling this agency a scam, and I see the owner of this agency working feverishly to defend their agency but what I have not seen anywhere on the internet is ONE "model" who is represented by this agency claiming to have received any work after shelling out all of this money for photos. I have never seen a reputable agency spend so much time defending themselves. If you're a successful REAL agency that finds work for its models, why are you so defensive? Shouldn't your record speak for itself? This kind of behavior is a real turn off for me, a model who has worked in the NYC market for years and has now moved to NEPA. If some kid has something bad to say about Wilhelmina or Ford, you don't see the owner of these agencies spending their precious time fighting with people on the internet. Why? Because they're busy finding models work. Think about that people!

Mmmhmmm and Questionable;

My models do not need to participate in such non-sense, and since they are happily working they are not interested in trying to find "slanderous" information about their agency. Misery loves company. HMMMMM......

As for Mmmhmmm.... Of course I defend my agency. I'd be crazy not to. I can only assume you go to work, collect a pay check and then complain about how you can do a better job than your manager, boss or the company. Business people make "their business, their business"! I cannot believe I would dignify your comment, however, I find it amusing.

I have grown tired of people who have no knowledge of the business and assume they know it "all". I don't have time to "sell" my agency by asking my models to post their delight in my company on our website.

No one who is as young as my Agency is doing and making such a mark in the industry and impacting the way people get work more than Keen, Inc.

By this December, 2011, mark my words right now and here: You will eat your words.

The question is Mrs. Keen, who do you feel is more legitimate in the ever tenacious modeling industry..Keen-Models or One Source Talent? As a model myself, I would like to hear your thoughts on this topic due to the fact that One Source Talent has been growing awfully fast the past couple of years and I want all the aspiring models to hear the opinions of a CEO in the industry.

Thank You,

Why is it that the only job I read about and the only job I heard about at the open call is hairshows? And for an agency that claimed (@open call)numerous times to have 1000 models signed to them is there only one who will stand up for them?
Something is not right here. If Keen has such well known people working on staff why haven't they gotten anyone a job other then a hairshow? If your MA and NY office were recently closed how long were they open cuz you have only been in business as you stated for no more then 20 months.

HELLO EVERYONE,
THE KEEN AGENCY IS NOT A SCAM!!!! I live in CT and Deborah had called me about a casting call there.(Remind you I just signed on with them and haven't gotten my photos yet.) I went and got picked by the frist one I went to. There were about 4 autitons. I did runway/hair/photos for ISO. If you do want to model you have to want it. If your thinking that my driving 3hr for calls is insane then you must not want it badly enough. I have modeled before with a differnt anency and they didn't work as hard as Keen does. The more I put myself out there and go to casting calls the more contacts I make for other things. This is part of the life of modeling and to make it big you have to travel. The more I do the more I make and Keen Agency will be known for having me as their model.

I think you are miss understanding what the Keen agency is trying to say. I'm signed with them and they work very hard for us models to get work. They are defensive because they also work FOR ME THE MODEL. and I like to know that they defened me when people who have nothing better to do then to try to say things that are not true about a good company. I have work with one other agency who didn't get me work as much as Keen has been doing. By the way I'm married with two kids one 9yrs and 1. I'm not no young little kid and been doing modeling for a long time. This is work/my job your talking about and my agency. now you have a model from the Keen Agency telling you they aren't a scam and the reason why you haven't seen any post from us is because we are out working. As a matter of fact I just got home last night from runway/hair/photo job all because Keen has giving the info for the casting calls.

Please do share all of the work you have done in NYC. I know everyone would welcome the information. Also, kindly give your name and your agents name so we can verify this information and pass it along to best promote you and your agency in NYC.

We welcome your response.

Perhaps I "forgot to mention" we work with Luke Simone from Wilhelmina and have paid to bring him to meet our models...do some research.

We also network with every major hi fashion agency in NYC. Our Photographer, Cheryl Skinn, Photographed Fashion Week for Betsy Johnson just recently.

I'm sorry. You did say you are a NYC model. Please, again, share how famous you are and who you are signed with???

Do NOT underestimate my agency or myself. I am a direct person and I will back up my company 100%. Let's go.

I will wait for your response.

Funny! The comment was this person "saw" a lot of people calling this agency a "scam". Someone, please, anyone....show me where ALL of these people are calling my agency a scam?????? Correct?>!

People are driven to look for what they want to find and they try to incorporate this information in a fashion that is manipulative and of no significant purpose.

Thus, this above comment---"numerous comments of Keen being a scam"... Please, someone, review the information and not include this thread. How many times is that statement referred to? As suggest by the intelligent person who posted that statement?

Exactly!

I have actually documented it more in one night then I have in my entire career. What are these people TRYING to accomplish? Heck, start your own agency since you "know" so much. You don't need our company as you have figured it all out on your own! Right!!??

I wish you all well and no, I'm not angry. I don't hold much weight in the simple minded or "scary" minded people in this world.

I seek and I therefore shall find.

Happy Holidays and I hope the Bunny is great to all of my models!

You "suggest" that Keen, Inc. selected you when you were 16? Keen, Inc., has been in business since June8, 2009. I strongly recommend that you review your statement and make the proper revisions as we were not representing models in your area during the time frame you suggest.

Please, stop posting things on the internet when you are just assuming and have nothing to back you up/ it is damaging to our agency and does not make you look good professionally.

Seriously???? Where do YOU SEE a lot of people calling my agency a scam? WHERE?

You have some serious negative issues about this business and have chosen to make MY Agency the target for your inadequacies .

I strongly suggest that you re-read your post and thread and find "where" your statement is correct. Exactly.

I do expect a full pubic apology from you; that is, if you are a person of honor and integrity. If not, people should automatically dismiss your statement as is bears false information and the sender is a person of cowardly existence.

Any person who would continue to make false statements regarding my Agency, will be properly documented. This is by far NOT the first time that I have filed a slander suit against persons who have the malicious intent to disrupt and harm by business for reason I am unaware of .

I wish all the best.

Let's wrap this up asap so we can enjoy a Holiday weekend.
