This may mark a change in the infrastructure of the league as a whole. Most of the teams now are going with private ownership over being under the umbrella of their NBA counterparts. This just happened a couple of years ago here in Los Angeles with the Sparks and it seems to have revitalized the franchise to an extent. More challenges are yet to come for this league and I think Houston will be back as soon as they have a stable owner and a good model for growth.

The WNBA is a financial failure. Without the welfare from the NBA, it will die. The end is near. Good riddance.
