Why? MN makes the most disastrous choices when it comes to picks and drafts--at least for basketball lately. Let's not forget we had picks Brandon Roy and OJ Mayo in our possession the last couple of draft years. Kevin Love is good, but OJ Mayo is a scorer and that is what the TWolves needed and still do. Then, the TWolves get 3 good guards last year, then only one stays and plays. We had Ty and should have kept him! Rubio is a joke and a little boy at heart. Flynn is good, but he's not a keeper for us. Ty has all the tools necessary for a strong point guard and is a proven champion with North Carolina ... but I digress.

Now we have the Lynx, who traded away #1 draft pick for fan support and Whalen--a total unnecessary move. If we kept that pick, we would have Tina Charles and our #3 pick. But what does the Lynx do? They trade the #3 pick to Connecticut (who just drafted Tina Charles, mind you) for 2 picks (1 first rd, 1 second round) in 2011. That makes ZERO sense! Who the heck is running our organizations and making horrendous decisions come draft time!?! Yeah, let's draft #3 and then trade that player to the team that just drafted the #1 pick ... in hopes of getting Maya in 2011. That is no way that is going to happen since The Sun are instantly beefed up with the ACC Player of the Year, as well as the Big 10 POY.

C'mon owners, managers, and coaches -- Pull your heads out your butts. I'm getting really frustrated with MN sports teams making dumb draft moves!

Is the WNBA still in business? Do they play in local YWCAs or middle school gyms? I heard there was a woman's national championship college game played a couple of nights ago with a half time score of 20 to 12, hell, that must have been exciting. It makes one wonder how many of them were playing in maternity uniforms.

Most people don't really understand the Lawson situation like you. Lawson was already traded to Denver BEFORE he was drafted. The pick itself was traded to Denver and they wanted Lawson. We NEVER had Lawson.

What the Lynx did with the 3 pick is like going to the track and putting your money on a horse at 10:1. If it hits (Maya) you look great, if it misses (anything but the number one) you lose. I wish they would have got more from the Sun, like maybe a first pick in 2012 or 2013 in addition to the first rounder in 2011.

Actually, the Lynx did pretty well considering that they really didn't need to get any younger and were in the market for both experience and defensive depth. Simon is a solid player and will definitely contribute, while the addition of Whalen in the offseason gives the team experience and solid guard play. Compared to the Wolves, the Lynx has been VERY fortunate in landing solid players in the lottery, even to the point of having the good luck to gain # 1 draft picks, which is something the Wolves have NEVER achieved in their history. Obviously, the team is trying to make a run and some experts are predicting good things for this squad. We'll see.

Going after Maya Moore was the motivations for the trade? Pfffff. That ain't gonna happen but that 2011 draft is deeper then this one so the secondary options won't be to bad. Anyway, WELCOME TO MINNESOTA MONICA WRIGHT! Wright is the real deal. Will be great to watch her this summer in a Lynx jersey. Go Lynx !

Ah Nutty you might want to pull your own head out of your butt. All worked up a wetting your pants & confusing yourself LOL. MN beefed up with the ACC POY. CT got the Big least & little 12 POYs of the yr.

This draft smells of Kevin McHale, and it's not a good odor either.
