Peninsula roads remain icy after storm
#1 Feb 1, 2010
There has been absolutely nothing done in Norfolk to clear the road! The entire downtown area has three inches of compacted ice on the road THREE DAYS after the storm and I have not seen one snowplow. Hampton Boulevard is not clear, Colley Avenue is not clear, and West Princess Anne where I live is not clear. Yesterday I went on Main Street, Granby Street, and Monticello, and NOTHING has been done. Does the city expect everyone to stay at home and wait for the sun to melt the snow? This is very lazy and very poor city planning. Why is the interstate a main priority? What use is it to clear the interstate when people cannot get out of their own neighborhoods and drive around their own city?

This is to the idiots who hit parked cars and leave without leaving a note or anything.. I happened to be at work when someone hit my car.. I think anyone who can't even drive in a parking lot needs to stay home.. I hope you realize it's rude and illegal to leave a scene of an accident. You think it;s just a fender bender, but it was my fender that was hit and it's a huge dent, cracked the paint, and the vehicle that hit my car was white.. You left a lot of paint. An SUV or truck hit my little car.. I hope you are proud of yourself..
