I lived in the old farm house last winter and took the kids snowboarding and sledding everyday i could. I believe its the parents responsible to watch your kids to make sure there being safe. But accidents happen. And if they hurt themselves or damage property then it is the parents who should pay for it.

It seem like it might be a good idea to limit the hours that kids can sled, so the people that live close can get a decent night's sleep.

The answer to playing on the old playground is NO!
There are no trust passing signs on the property.
You cannot go up. Yet they want the neighbors to let strangers on there property. There are other places to sled. How about one of there own relatives. Maybe a friend or someone who knows them. It's bull to say oh yes please sled into my house, but when you hit my concrete patio or
my tree, my shed or maybe you'll just sled on across the next street, maybe then your parents and the township will listen. If the land owner gets sued , guess who else is going to get sued!

YOU PEOPLE HAVE LOST THE TOTAL CONCEPT OF THIS PROBLEM. IT IS NOT A QUESTION OF THE KIDS SLEDING.IT IS A QUESTION OF WHO IS GOING TO BE RESPONSIBLE IF SOME GETS INJURIED. I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THE KIDS SLEDING. THE TOWNSHIP NEEDS TO ASSIGN A PLACE ON THE PROPERTY FOR THE KIDS TO SLED. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO CONTACT MY INSURANCE COMPANY TO FIND OUT HOW THIS TYPE OF ISSUE WOULD BE HANDLED. THIS IS A SUE HAPPY WORLD WE LIVE IN TODAY. AND I ALSO LIVE ON MICHELLEWAY

Why not leave the child-like behavior to the kids and check with your insurance guys?

People should not have to check with their insurance companies about whether or not they cover if someone gets hurt. Thenm it would make your insurance go up. I don't live on Michelle Way but i had a similar experience in my develop where I let the kids sled down my hill until they damaged our sled and bushes in the yard.
Twenty five years ago kids and adults had common sense and were taught respect. I believe that is not the case today. Sledding until midnight? Give me a break! People who are for this certainly don't have kids sledding in their yards.

AND PEOPLE WONDER WHY THERE IS A DRUG PROBLEM, GO FIGURE?!?
Some times people do drugs because ...

People want to do drugs. It is human nature. It is in the genetic make up of some people.

Sometimes there is no reason for the persons drug use. Other times there could many reasons for the persons drug use, including but not limited to mental, financial, physical, and/or social problems.

An expert about everything such as yourself should know this.

Why would you contact your Insurance company? NOTHING HAS HAPPENDED TO YOU.

As a parent, you contact any and all insurance companies before your child goes somewhere? WTF is wrong with you people?

Me thinks you live in a "sue happy world".

You are another prime example of what is wrong with this country and people in general.

Making a law or ordnance to satisfy a few people while a larger number of people feel the opposite and express it, is a prime example of why our leaders are out of touch with the people they are supposed to serve.
