Yeah golf guy I will do just what you suggest. Continue to beat you over with a pole because that is how you like it. You enjoy being attacked, I got your number buddy. You post here to welcome attacks from your stupid idiology. You are more than welcome to trash my words, but I think you live in a dream land that does not exist. I am entitled to my opinion. I hope you feel the same way.

You never answered my question, are your ancestors from this country? You are the one knocking what you called, foreigners working at Target. You might think I live in a dream land, but it's called Florida.

Wow, seems to be some run away discussions here. I just want to say thank you to people like Mounier & Sohir who seem to be caring about our aging & disabled citizens. What an exmaple of the positives & things we should all try to do more of. Bravo to the VA for getting out there & making action in a world where we so desperately need it. Aging population is growing huge & this seems like a cost effective, dignitifed, cararing way to live. Count me in for sure! Where to I call to volunteer.

WBL I understand your concern, and it bothers me that you as a civillian come accross to the point that all men that have served this nation, are mentally retarded. You see sir that men, and women who have given up their freedom for uncle sam are here to protect your train of thought. Why don't you go put some earrings in, you know all the girls want to look at you, but I figure you as gay, so go ahead come out of the closet.
Oh my, Old Veteran... You either wanted to twist my words, or you read too fast... In NO WAY did I imply that our service people are mentally retarded. My comment was that I know people who foster Adults with Mental Retardation, AND other Adults with problems living on their own, such as the gentleman in the story. BTW, I have many lovely pairs of earrings, thank you, and since I'm a woman, I figure that's just fine. LOL!!

As a board member of the only organization in MN to provide support for child and adult providers, and as a friend of Sohair and Moinir, I am proud that their work as medical foster home providers has been recognized. MN is one of the few states with adult foster care. It is often a underappreciated and misunderstood profession. Adult foster care is also a cheaper alternative to nursing homes, group homes and other long term care facilities. Foster care providers like these go through a ardous process before they can become providers and then need to take ongoing training of 20-40 hours a year to continue their license. You have licensors in your house 1-2 times a year. You have supvervisory staff in monthly. This is not an easy job, by any means. But the rewards are worth it. I have been a provider for 22 years, and I can honestly tell you, it is the best job ever. I am also the proud aunt of a young man presently serving our country. I am grateful that the VA is now offering the option of medical foster homes to ALL our vets.

My husband and I ran care homes for seven years out of three homes here in Kansas. I heard about this on the news the other night and and interested in possibly opening up our home. I am a CNA and a medication aide. Are you allowed to take in more than one veteran at a time and what are the regulations and fire regulations on a homw like this.
Thank You
