"nobody really saw ski cross coming..." well, nobody at USSA anyway.
We don't need a "panel of luminaries" to examine the USSA approach, instead I would suggest you just ask USSA staff and coaches...

Ski Coach......There have never been any Ski Cross events in the US. It is more of a Euorpean sport.
And really? you want them to ask the coaching staff? While I admit some of the staff is good I can name a few that while they are coaches for a specific discipline they do not have a vision of the future of their sport. The only vision they have is when they open their pay check they hope that the annual 10% pay cut did not hit yet.
With the fact that they had to pay $250,000 "bonus" for an interlock device for one of the ski team execs vehicles I can see why they have cut back on some programs.

No events in the US? you mean like the origional Loard of the boards, XGAMES, a handful of world cups and FIS events, USASA....
Best in the world, no, best in the neighborhood, maybe
...maybe Mothers Against Drunk Driving could provide substantial sponsorship $$?

You forgot Jeep King of the Mountain, 48 Straight, Honda Ski Tour, US Freeskiing open, Gravity Games, etc. Funny that the Euro athletes in SX are excited to hear about what Pro SX tours are happening last year due to the history of SX in the US. And still They make a comment like this. Retarded.

Does this mean that they will pull support from the other disciplines?
