I wouldnt say its the Stanley Cup...
What I think it is-there are Ranger fans out there who dnt know shitz about hockey who like the Rangers just to jump on the bandwagon. When the Isles beat the Rangers-it shuts-up those particular fans. Which I love...
The diehard Rangers fan dnt bother me as much as amateur hour fans.
Fair point.... I was just referring to me personally.

Chris Simon also barely knew how to play hockey while this kid was ranked 18th among skaters. Chris Simon also had a career long laundry list of incidents committed as an adult - intentional acts. This kid is involved in 1 accident with a a kid who shouldn't have been playing due to previous injury. That previous injury caused death while Cizikas was defending himself... and you equate that to Chris Simon. Please crawl back under your rock.
You make some very good points which I didn't think about. I'm willing to open my heart a little for this guy. I'm not really against having him on this team I'm just fed up with the management and their inconsistency and was trying to give an example, one which is definitely subject to interpretation

Islanders will move if they don't improve and this countraversial player is what we need to sell tickets. He killed that dumb little turd Manny which is GREAT because now the team will sell out more games than just the ones against the Rangers. Islanders will win the Cup this year just you watch. Oh yeah, I forgot, Free Madoff

dont forget about Parros. He received his degree from Princeton...
Beyond a higher level of intelligence, let's also remember that nhl players are much more accessible than players of the other sports. There are also a lower percentage of "bad apples" in the nhl than the other sports. That alone probably is an indication of the higher level of intelligence among nhl players.

That's because they typically have to go through prep schools to play high level hockey in HS. Many also spend time in top universities for more than 1 year.

Or you can play basketball and leave after your junior year of HS even though you "can't read good"

...or go the juvenile detention center route straight to the nba, where they can get into real crime

...but then isn't that basically a parallel to this situation? The rangers signed a player who had crime in his past, just as the isles drafted a player that had a crime in his past.
doesnt matter

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Scorpio

Something that you've always taken for granted or believed implicitly could have a big question mark hanging over it during the next few weeks. The more entrenched your views are about this, the more difficult it will be to accept that perhaps it's time for a change of opinion or, at the very least, a revaluation of what you think. Mercury turns retro in your house of communications, so do your best to be open-minded now.
