yeah, the stiff they signed to be a quote un quote back up is in way over his head and will lose far more games than he ever wins in a CBJ sweater. Pathetic gutless effort from McConnell again to find players who can win NHL games. Sick and tired of the excuses year after year for all the losing hockey in Nationwide

would bet more on his failure over anything else. if that is the case, the CBJ are looking at 23 wins max

Why don't you wait and see what happens before complaining that they are going to lose again? I don't see how they are making excuses if anything I think there are some great efforts going into this and I'm excited to see how this season pans out.

Lets hope Scott(Howson) does not rest on his Laurels as far as acquiring more players either thru free agency or trades.
I am more upbeat going into the season since the actions of Scotts actions.

CBJ should consider themselves lucky for stealing Dex. I live in Milwaukee and have seen this beast ply his trade. He's good. Very good. He works very hard and will impress you with his will to win. He's got a good attitude and will inspire his teammates. He's a leader. He's physically gifted has an eye for the biscuit. Most importantly, he's a good guy. You will want him to succeed and he will not disappoint you.
Look for Dex to make Mason an afterthought in a couple years. Don't write him off. He's got talent.

Why didn't WE sign Vokoun? Oh, right, would have cost money and...I'm trying to think of another reason...

Hope you're right. If he's a contender as goalie of the future, I'd rather we'd signed him AND Vokoun, started the latter in the short-term, and brought the young guy along.
Mason, let's face it, is a bust. Time we admitted that and moved on.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mark and his wife in the Bahamas and let me tell you he's a great guy and if his goaltending is anything like how he is as a person, the city of Columbus has nothing to worry about but Steve Mason may have to
