Hmm..Wonder what would of happened if Gainey/Gauthier didnt sh*t the bed and held on too Halak for 2 or 3 more years...
1. to help develop Price into a great goalie.
2. to have a great tandem like in St. Louis.

We certainly didnt get any impact players for Halak!!
Sure it might a cost a 4 or so million, but thats worth it considering what they decided to pay the smurfs.

Two Smurfs and a terrible defensmen in Kaberle.
Who would you really want on your team...Kaberle or Souray.

Sourey one of the hardest shots in the league.
Kaberle not so much.

Sourey plays physical
Kaberle not so much.

Sourey will fight
Kaberle not so much

Sourey will stick up for his team mates
Kaberle not so much.

Sourey is a presence on the ice.
Kaberle not so much..

WTF...Because Sourey wanted more money they got rid of him....and what did they get in return...
What do we have now...
Where and why did Rivet leave...wanted more money..
Hey remember when we had the best power play in the league for two years straight....
It wasnt because of the forwards...It was the "D"...
Now look what we got...Three washed up defensmen and two of them are way overpaid..

We get rid of good players who want more money and we bring in players who we give more money too and they SUCK....

The G.M thought process the last 10 years has been criminal. 100% criminal.

Well written Labatts.wish that little puke lian rian would try to do that.. One thing i must say though is that im not sure price would develop into much more than he is.........an up and down undependable goaltender..but who knows. If the habs get rid of any player from now on because he wants too much money their should be a riot in montreal !! because after the smurf debockall in which we paid stupid money for fourth liners .. the goals and assists we got for this money is pityful.Kaberle who once was a coveted player by most teams has developed into a chickenshit defenseman.. i still remember in the cup finals with boston he had a chance to get the puck out of his own end at the blueline, but instead of taking a hit to do it he floped to the ice to avoid the hit and the puck stayed in the boston end.. that should have been the first clue to montreal management that this guy was not a good one to aquire...but one stupid move deserves another is the way montreal has been operating for a number of years now.

I can only hope that Bergevin knows and sees everything with eyes wide open....

I know hes hand cuffed on some of the players, but at least come right out and say that your dealing the two smurfs and Kaberle....

I know its not their style....but the old tradition must change.
