I am SICKENED reading this article. As a resident of Doe Mill Ridge I can tell you that Hall/Isom's "award winning grapes" and "Cash crop" have not even been harvested in YEARS. Poor babies, you lost some grapes that are just a tax write off anyway - when HOMES were nearly lost on the same ridge and over 70 homes were lost in Paradise.
You should be ashamed of yourselves Hall/Isom Ranch -- comparing the loss of grapes to the loss of homes.

"When we started saving that second half, we were very happy."
Were you suddenly actively helping fight the fire Mr. Hall? Give the credit where credit is deserved - to the firefighters!!
You could have saved your own vinyard had you actually had defensible space around it - you have nobody to blame but yourselves for losing your precious grapes -- I hope next time its YOUR house, then when someone cries they lost an apple tree you'll see how it feels!!
