While I can and do sympathize, it would be good for these business owners to keep in mind that people died in this storm. You can replace your sign, replant your vineyard, have the debris cleared from your property, and life will go on for you. There are about a score of families in VA alone who are dealing with the loss of a loved one, and that can't be fixed.

I couldn't have said it better myself. I agree completely with your post -- we lost a neighbor when a tree fell on him and noone knows the pain until they have suffered such a tragic loss. We should be thankful that we still hve homes standing and our family is alive and well. Material things can be replaced but a life is lost forever.

Keeping It Real and A Reader ... I don't think the business owners being interviewed were overlooking the devastation of death and loss of home, I believe they were answering the questions asked by the reporter which we aimed at finding out and letting the rest of us know how certain types of businesses fared the storms. Please keep that in mind when judging. If you've ever been personally interviewed, and I have, you answer what's asked, put in your comments and hope for the best that the reporter will relay the appropriate message. I'm said people lost their lives but am also sad about the havoc the storms caused for local business. Figures Walmart got the business though.

The impact of this storm on businesses in this area pales in comparison to the costs and difficulties thrust on whole families in this area. This article is an insult to all those who have and are still suffering the effects of the storm. Shame on 29 for even thinking to consider the impact on businesses. This goes to the argument are corporations people? Appearingly 29 thinks so.

Its really idiotic in my eyes to see that people still think this is not the tribulation period. Its the EAST people, it never gets that hot there. Itll never settle, theres a bible out there just for the tribulation printed out a week ago or something.. i started my repentance.

I got four bibles waiting for a cold night when I might need something to start a fire with. The revelation will be when people wake the frig up and figure out the bible is nothing more than hokus pokus.
