Howdy Lola....thanks for letting me know my post is still there. What happens is I am the only one that sees it but no one responds. So I kind of fiddled around and cleaned things up. I am somewhat clueless when it come to technology.

Yesterday was beautiful but today warmed up and tomorrow is to ne up to 89 and the rest of the week is to be in the 90's!

This spring I planted seeds instead of bought flowers and they are growing and just beautiful. I also planted basil from seed. The seeds were bought after last summer at a reduced price. Xomething like 5ยข a pack. I love flowers but was spending too much money on them. Now seed is a good and inexpensive way to go.

I also love African Violets and start them from cuttings.

Because of my cats I have to be careful where I put them....the cats have no manners and knock them off the window sills.

Did you have a nice week end? How are your furry little babies?

Talk to you later
God bless.....

Hi Maggiee...I tried hooking up with your twitter...but no luck. I only got on a page that said I had to sign in. So how did you get to talk to Jase? I love that show. And I am so glad they have a new season.

Do you ever watch Doc Martin?

It is getting ready to storm. Summers are like that anymore. Hot andmhumid and then a nasty thunderstorm.

Well I better get off before it storms.

You should be able to read my tweets even if you don't have an account. I just had another tweet from Jase. Go to twitter and type my username. It's @wyckedwitchofoz. Then click on my latest tweet to Jase about cooking pheasant. You should then be able to read his response. I think Lola can read my twitter page. Can you see it, Lola?

You should be able to view my twitter account without signing in. Go to twitter.com and type in @wyckedwitch.com and you will see a tweet that I sent Jase about cooking pheasant. Click on that and you will see his response. Lola, you can read my twitter, right?

Hi ladies....well I sort of got there. I saw his response but that was it.

As I said I am a complete dunder head when it comes to technology.

I have a notepad or notebook, I am not even sure what it's called. So that might have something to do with it because I can't watch certain types of videos.

Anyhow hope you all have a good weekend.

Duck lover this is the first time I have talked to you. I have seen your posts but never talked to you. Thanks for helping with the twitter thing.

It's funny that I love Duck Dynasty yet I don't like hunting and I have been a vegetarian longer than not.

But I love the show...I love the good morals and values they have plus they can be darn funny. They're good people. I love Miss Kay, she is a good role model. She has a cookbook out I would like to have.

My husband bought me her spatula with 8 recipe notecards. One recipe was for Pralines!:-)

Again have a good weekend and a safe weekend

God bless.....

Hello gals.hope all is well. We are getting some much needed rain. I am gonna be busy with pets this coming week . I am feeding them while friends vacation . I love critters. Julia is it hard to be a vegetarian?i don't care for meat much. I get most protein from avacodo or pnut butter. Oh, and eggs. Was the tradition hard to do? I've always wanted to try it.have a blessed evening everyone !

Lola....no it is not hard to do. I do eat fish and dairy products. No beef, pork or poultry. I have been doing it for about 33 years.

I do it for my love of animals. If it was for health reasons I would not have the will power to do it.

One good product to get protein and zero cholesterol is tofu. You can do a lot with it. When you freeze it, thaw and squeeze out....it is totally different then non frozen. Some recipes require it to be frozen.

I will give you some recipes for a good tofu chili, tofu "meat"sauce for spaghetti, and a tofu meat loaf. Once you learn how to use tofu you will like it very much.

One time I made sloppy joes for my nephew (the one now innAfghanistan) and he loved them...he wanted the recipe so his mom could make them for him.....I never told him it was tofu because I know he would have gone....yuck!

My mother is Polish and I grew up with halupki (cabbage rolls, or pigs in the blanket). I substitute the tofu for the cabbage and even my mom likes them!

So I will get some recipes together for you.

Lola, did I tell you my cats are all rescue cats? Most I had to trap (humanely). One of my boys has liver cancer. He was given 3 months to a yearmto live. Well he is 7 months passed the year deadline. We:-Igive him whole food supplements for his liver. I had one that had kidney disease. I gave him fluids thru is back fo 16 months. They then stopped helping him and he became so sick and was getting worse. So we had the vet come to the house and help him out of his pain. We had him creamated and his remains are still here.

I had another one, Nellie, she had a spinal stroke and lost the use of her rear legs. So for over a year I cared for her with diapers and moving her on a regular basis to prevent sores.

Most of my cats had a rough life until I found them.

Our priest says God has blessed us with these wonderful helpless creatures.

Here is a very touching you tube of our soldiers and cats..even though dogs are not in this video....they play just as an important role helping.
It's called "When you say nothing at all" by Keith Whitely. it's just a little over 3 minutes.....I hope it works

Hey girls! How you doing? Had to shake things up a bit due to an online stalker. I'm outta here on July 18th, headed for Wales to work with a new recording artist. My parents are from Wales, so this will be a great trip and I will be visiting some of my cousins while I am there. I hope you both are doing well. I'm glad the commotion has died down here,
Anyhow...Julia, you like Duck Dynasty? It must be difficult because they hunt, huh? I understand the reasoning behind being a vegetarian, but I'm not sure the cavemen would have survived without meat, hence, we may not be here today. Your thoughts?
LOVE YOU BOTH!

Good morning ladies! The sun is out and it looks like a beautiful day. Yesterday was cool and rainy. Those kind of days really perk up the flowers.

I have a lot of bird nests around my house. I have a nest in a barberry bush. Very low to the ground. It's one of those tiny birds....I think a finch of some sort. I took a quick peek yesterdaynand a little baby looked at me.

As far as the hunting...as I mentioned I don't care for it....mainly the trophy hunting...I think that is awful...to kill something just to hang it on your wall. I understand people hunt to put food on the table, for survival. That is a whole different ball game. I guess I just wasn't clear in my dislike of hunting. Even what they call it......sport hunting.....is weird to me.

Anyhow I will get some recipes together and get them copied.....it may be a few days as I have a few things to do and will be gone most of the day tomorrow.

Tofu is easy to work with and freezing thawing and squeezing out liquid changes its texture.

Here is a quickie.....
1.Freeze a pack of tofu, then thaw it and squeeze out as much as the liquid as you can...it is easier to do if you quarter it and squeeze each quarter.(I try to use the FIRM instead of the soft, it generally says on the pack)

2. Shred or tear into bite size pieces and fry in good quality oil. You want to fry out the excess liquid and give the tofu a nice crust to it.

3. Put a can of MANWICH over it and heat thru.

4. Put on buns

Tofu will absorb the flavors. I find it is better the next day because of that.

You can use two packs of tofu if you want.

I sometimes do the same thing only I use a jar of pasta sauce and I add green pepers, mushrooms to the tofu when frying. Then put it on top of pasta. You can do any kind of veggie you like. Instead of "meat sauce" you have "tofu sauce". This alsomrequires the tofu be frozen, thawed and squeezed.

Good day ladies....

Christ is in our midst.......He is and forever shall be.
