Ms. Quamme's "review" of the Yanni concert was an unmitigated disaster and misstatement of the entire evening! She should be ashamed of herself for ignoring the overwhelming entertainment value that the evening presented which ended with practically the entire audience giving a standing ovation at the conclusion and clamoring for more! At the absolute least she could have 'mentioned' the unbelievably talented array of performers that Yanni brought to town. No less than 8 to 10 of them gave magnificent individual perfomances that simply amazed the audience with virtuosity, energy and verve. Frankly,'reviews' of this nature are an absolute disservice to readers.

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed last nights Yanni concert. The only thing this "review" has correct is the oustanding performance that Nathan Pacheco did last night.

The Yanni Voices concert review was totally off. It was an outstanding show. The musicians were extremely talented (as always) and performed brilliant solos. The new vocal talent added a new dimension to Yanni's music. The communication between Yanni and the other performers was easy to see. You can see and feel how his music comes from his heart. My daughter, her 2 sons 10 & 14 and I thought the 5 hr drive to the concert well worth it!!

I am assuming that the person who wrote this review must of attended a different concert than my family and I did. I also drove over four hours to attend this performance and was almost in tears when Leslie Mills sang her first song. The emotion these singers displayed in their voices is not something I will ever forget. Their voices were in perfect sync with Yanni's beautiful music. My children enjoyed the concert very much. As did all the people sitting around us. I am truly sorry the person that wrote the review didn't understand the concept of this concert, maybe they should stick to the type of music they enjoy and not cut down what they don't understand.

It is time to criticize the bitter critic. Your review is totally incorrect. How can you called yourself a critic when all you bring to the table were the cons of the concert and where are the pros? Maybe Columbus Dispatch should have sent you to a rap music concert or something, since you came into Yanni concert with a biased view and not liking this music in the first place.
I was at the concert that night, and I can tell you, it was supercalifragilisticexpialidoc ious; there is no imaginative word could describe this concert. My boyfriend came into the concert with a critic eye, thinking Yanni would lull him to sleep, but went out with an awe and loved the concert! This concert was once in a life time experience for me. I imaged it as a relaxed environment with Yanni there playing his music pieces, but no, he surprised the audience with his AWESOMELY hyped music AND with TALENTED singers.

Had concert folks known more of Chloe PRIOR to the concert, perhaps NWA would have been more than "sparsely attended."
Most prominently featured, however, was uni-named young Chloe, who alternated solemn, upward-gazing singing with suggestive dancing, and who during one long stretch of the show writhed semi-clad on a grand piano, while Yanni made come-hither/stay-right-there gestures.
