Ohio ranks second in corruption by it elected and trusted officials by close comparison to states like N.Y. and N.Jersey. Not saying that all Ohioans are corrupt just the few that make it to prime time T.V. Ohio is one of the few states that don't protect there citizens under the Good Samaritan Act. Under this act, anyone in good faith that happens upon another citizen in need of assistance whether it be an auto accident or whatever maybe credited in due protected from malicious law suites. My wife (nurse) recently went to the aid of a motorist and his wife when they were thrown from there vehicle through the windsheild. We stopped aswell as others and assisted until the ambulance arrived. When the officer showed up he asked my wife for all her information in case " They wanted to sue". In another account. A fellow nurse assisted an accident scene inwhich she later lost her home and license to practice nursing in the Great State of Ohio. The reason: Even though she saved the motorist life by administrating life supporting procedures (backed by the EMT's and onstaff E.R. Doctor), she admittedly went outside her scope of qualifications. Go Ohio!!! We tell this story to everyone we meet in hopes that they think twice before aiding another fellow motorist or anyone else in the State of Ohio in the event they maybe an attorney or lawmaker.

In Other countries you'd go to jail if you fail to offer humanitarian aid to another. In OHIO you risk everything if you do.

The reason why Ohio Sucks is because there ain't no descent paying jobs to speak of around here. The only that you can make money in Ohio at all is 1. You have some kind of college degree. 2. A Restraunt Manager 3. Just get out of the fucking state all together period. The reason why simple to many serivice jobs like Wal Mart,Mc Donald's,etc etc.

Largely right with only a few exceptions: 1.College degrees will make good money in Ohio if there are good good paying jobs waiting for them. Since Ohio ignored creating jobs in many fields requiring a degree(i.e. there are more college degree jobs than law,teaching science, and nursing), many college students move elsewhere where there are good opportunities. Since many college students collect debt to get a degree,getting a job outside Ohio is preferable to taking a lifetime to pay it off at the perennial Ohio job market favorites for the college and non college educated-fast food and Wal Mart (thanx Voinovich and Taft). Adding to Ohio's economic woes is the fact that Ohio is too populated(often 15 people applying for a single low paying position-made worse by factory closings)and the term limited Ohio legislatures and governors main concerns have been money laundering to jockey for their next elected office.This is akin to Nero fiddling whiule Rome burned on a mass scale.Point number #3 sounds very attractive, though moving is going to be costly. Ohio is a no win has-been state.

I knew someone who was abuseing their children. I had witnesses and evidence, and wiliamsburge police department said this was perfectly legal for him to abuse his children then threatened to charge me for makeing false charges.
people can't report a real crime to aid a child, but in the state of ohio, someone can falsely accuse an innocent person and the law swarms like flies, and the judges never allow the innocent to prove their case.
The guilty, however, have lawyers knocking down their door to help them for free.

I am so with you on this,I came to Rutland Ohio to visit my Mom . I was staying with my sister, whom I have disowned, anyway she came home from work and blew a fuse started hitting and pushing me and telling me to get out of her house. I did and next thing I know I;m being arrested for domestic violence. I never raised my hand except to defend myself. I did the right thing and left. I tried to file counter charges and was told first come first serve. If you live in ohio get the fuck out now. It is the most corrupt state in the union. If I could Id b lw it up myself anbd by the way the only reason good athletes come from ohio state is because these people wouldnt be accepted anywear else. It is also the dumbest state. West Virginians are brain surgeons comparitively
