Everyone has their own thing, but I like Whoopi and her radio show was good. I will miss her & Cubby, lots of laughs also. I did not listen to Melissa before Whoopi, I did listen to her today she is ok. But at this point I'll go to 9FM and the River.

When I turned on the radio and heard Melissa Forman with no trace of Whoopi as if her show never existed, I was disgusted. I new something was up.

I really dig Whoopi and this was a cold switch for which I had no prior warning.

I like to laugh. I like to hear it real. And Whoopi is all of that...not some pre-manufactured cardboard wonk wonk. Whoopi is fresh, original and funny.

I like to get the sugar, not the aspartame, if you know what I mean.

I liked cannot stand Melissa or the way she talks about stupid issues trying to make them something exciting. The David Copperfield items is days old how do you say "did you hear" get your news out there when it is of importance. I stopped listening when she was on in the mornings and have stopped as of this morning. You get local news all day long. Whoopie brought in some intelligence and interest. You did not have to agree but it made you think. Now we have simple Melissa with her "did you hear this" with trivial news and nothing of interest. I will not listen to 93.5 before 11 am in the morning. I will use the internet to listen to Whoopie.

I never listened to WLIT before Whoopi. I heard her voice one morning and listened to her show and I was hooked. WLIT was the only station I would listen to in the morning, during work and my drive home. She was great and I'm sad to hear that she is gone. I don't have anything against Melissa as I listen to her too, but there's no reason for some of you to be so disrespectful to Whoopi. I hope that some other station picks her up. She's honest, funny and great to listen to.

I have so many comments, after reading all current comments, don't know where to begin...Guess you need to have some type of culture and education to have appreciate Whoopi. I completely enjoyed her show and the chemistry between her and Cubbie was very prevelent.
But #68's comment somewhat summerizes the mentality of the majority of the Chicago listeners. Mike, are you that 1 dimensional to make a comment regarding how her last name sounds...Half black/half Jewish. For you info Mike, Jewish describes a RELIGION, not a RACE. Dumb ass!

I cannot describe how sad I am not to be able to listen to Whoppi in the morning. I liked finding out what is going on outside of Chicago which I love.
I never ever listened to WLIT before and it was by accident I found Whoppi.Loud and obnoxious? Where does that type of comment come from? I will need to go look on the map to see where is Itasca?
I actually like Ms. Forman, but she is not Whoppi, it is a big loss to me in my morning.

Melissa, glad to see that you are back to your Morning Drive Show at 93.9 ! I listened to your show for 5 Years, as your Show was always the BEST on the Radio ! I still cannot belive that somebody would take the BEST Morning Radio Show ever, in Chicago Radio, off the AIR? He obviously never listened to your SHOW, before he made his Terrible Mistake! This was the WORST Business Decision ever made, even worse than the ENRON collapse. He should be FIRED and run out of RADIO and any other forms of Radio, TV, or FILM Entertainment.

Like everybody else that has already commented. I stopped listening the "The Lite", as soon as I heard Whoopi was on. It is about time the management listened to the viewers and brought Melissa back. Kudos to the management.

I am so happy that WLIT saw the LIGHT! I left after the first week of Whoppie. I told the station that first week they made a hugh error in judgement getting rid of the best morning team Chicago radio had! I have been listening to Eric and Kathy in the mornings since. I think it is honorable management admitted it was a mistake to replace them, but it will be interesting to see if they are able to regain listeners. Management needs to remember do not fix that which is not broken!

I went on vacation, returned ten days later and no Whoppi & Cubbie!!! What happened - I enjoyed my morning drive to work with them. They had a great mix of music and guests on their morning show and they enjoyed each others company. Well, I guess I won't be listening to KTU in the morning any more.

I personally do not think Whoopie is funny...her beginning was telling racially charged stories..i think she is a racist period..and i do not like any of her acting. She tries to come off as an educated woman..i don't think so.
