After exposing the "enhanced" interrogation techniques to the world, of course they don't work anymore.

They are now obsolete and useless. The minute the people and terrorist knew about them, the terrorists have being doing daily "enhanced" interrogation exercises on their own to withstand these techniques in the event that these are applied to them.

So by the time the USA uses them on the terrorists, the terrorist already had a lot of practice on them and have techniques down path to withstand them.

He gave an example of the dirty bomber guy Padilla, he said those techniques didn't work, other legal techniques did.
