Wesley Snipes seeks permission to leave the country to work on ...

Lawyers for Wesley Snipes sought permission Wednesday for the Orlando-born actor to leave the country to work on two films while they appeal his conviction and 36-month prison sentence for tax crimes.

This man just doesn't get it. First he wants his trial moved, then he gets a minimum sentence, which I'm sure he'll barely serve at all, and what he does end up serving will be some country-club jail somewhere, and now he wants to leave the country??? Get real. What part of INCARCERATION does he not understand, this is not a game, and if he would have paid his taxes like the rest of us in the first place, he could be in London right now. Ruin his future career???? I doubt it, and even if that were the case, OH WELL!!!! Try living like the rest of us poor schlubs who can't afford to pay our bills and taxes but we do anyway. Unbelievable.

Agree completely. The rest of us wouldn't have these perks of travel restrictions being lifted repeatedly so we could take vacations to other countries with our families. We would already be sitting in our jail cells. He does not get that he broke the law, got caught and now must pay the penalty. As for not being able to earn a living in film if he didn't return to American, well, Roman Polanski has done just fine. He even won an Oscar from abroad. Now that Snipes has been found guilty and has prison hanging over his head, he is more likely not to return, plus he is not longer "innocent until guilty." No more bending over backward for him.
