What is there to expect from a Vulture Capitalist who is adept at picking the carcasses clean of the dead or dying entities throughout the land. Romney is as much a cancer on America as smog and a primary reason that companies are moving offshore.

They're business model is similar to looting the dead like an unethical funeral director the pockets of the corps for change. Although not illegal, there's no way you could consider stepping on the weak honest work. The activities are similar to the string of Pay Day Loan operations near Military Bases across America, picking the pockets of our entry level Troops.

Romney to boot is paying 15% on his earning from that work while our working class citizens who are held hostage by Pay Day Lenders are mandated to paying in total near 30% federal tax rates.

"Republican frontrunner Mitt Romney highlighted the gap between himself and average Americans on Tuesday when he maintained he did not make "very much" from speaking fees, even though the $370,000 earned in a single year would be considered a fortune by many middle-class Americans.

His comments came at a press conference while out campaigning in South Carolina ahead of its potentially decisive primary on Saturday. Romney is the favourite to win in South Carolina, enjoying a double-digit poll lead over his nearest rival, former speaker Newt Gingrich.

At the press conference in Florence, he disclosed that he pays a tax rate of only 15% in spite of having an estimated wealth of $200 MILLION."

Having a .001%er representing a country of 99%ers is like having an albino white guy represent a country that is 99% subsharan black. It just ain't right. It's "We the People", not "I the Person". Why won't Romney pay his fair share, the same percent as someone making what he makes in speaking fees?

Funny how the rest of us, PATRIOTIC AMERICANS, keep picking losing stocks. We invest in American companies and Romney makes his money BANKRUPTING American companies. See a connection? Romney is an unscrupulous America hater, a traitor.

Think about it. Romney pays the same amount in taxes as a single person making $8,500 a year.

Why don't the rest of us get that deal? Why does Romney make his money bankrupting American companies and offshoring the jobs? I guess a better question would be, "Why does Romney hate America?"

His investment come the same route as an unethical Funeral Director, picking the pockets of the corpse laying at his disposal. I'm not saying he's operating outside of the laws, but you can't consider his work to be honest and ethical.

How much of a conscious can a "Corporate Raider" such a Romney have in dismantling businesses and throwing the thousands of workers under the bus on his way out of two after stuffing his pockets as he's scraping the metal holding the building onto the foundation?

No matter how you pick through the bones, it's carcass picking the sport of Vultures.

The Rates on income from $8,000 to $34,000 is 10% and there's the additional 7.45% FICA for a total 17.45%, he's paying cheaper rates than those earning below poverty level wages. Income below $30,000 is considered low income, as a matter of fact,$30,000 is minimum wage in New York.

Romney is making out like a peg leg pirate and, an uncivilized viking.

You are correct, 15% with a $5800.00 Standard Deduction across the board on incomes between $8,500-$34,500, plus the 7.45% FICA deductions.

Let's face it. Romney cares more about hiding his donations and other things. That's why he wants to wait to disclose his tax returns until after he is the nominee. He doesn't want everyone to know the truth before that time because he knows it would hurt his chances of getting nominated. He's slimey and cunning. You can see it in his eyes. He's has a devilish look.

Funny how Romney loves to fire people and gives 15% to the government, what people typically give to a server in a restaurant for a tip.

He doesn't serve in the military and neither do his five sons. His dad protested the Viet Nam war.

I guess, with Romney, you pay for what you like and think about yourself. You never think about the team. Romney's backstabbing Flip-Flopping fair weather friend that you just can't trust.

He thinks our great country is only worth 15% of his income while most of us are paying a MUCH HIGHER percentage of our WORK income.

BTW I bet you $10,000 that Romney never tips his server in a restaurant, not even a penny, let alone 15%.

He makes his money from investments so he has to pay exact same long term capital gains rate you and I pay.

And anyone here is free to do it - quit your job and live on your investments.

Why is this so hard for you people to grasp? Money made from selling/buying capital is not the same as money made from income.

The more you know.

In other words, only idiots work for a living and pay 30% right? Raise the tax rate on investment income to 75%. People who labor for their paychecks deserve better treatment than what they are getting.

Sadly Sparky, not everyone comes from Money, like Mittens. And since the person who works at Wallyworld pays 30% or more of their income in taxes, including social security, state and federal...f**k the wealthy trustfund babies. Tax 'em at 75%.

It's all about Obama's classwar, which we were forewarned about in 2008 during one of his rare unscripted non-teleprompter moments when he spoke candidly to Joe the Plumber. And what happened? The elite, left-leaning media went ape-shit on Joe the Plumber. He, a nobody, was scrutinized by the media far more than "the one we have been waiting for."

"It's about the future of all our children." And the future of all our children is that you'll be paying off the past of all your grandparents. In the assisted-suice phase of western democracy, voters are seduced by politicians who bribe them with government lollippops, but they're not willing to pay the cost of those lollipops. Solution: Kick it down the road, and stick it to the next generation. That's you.

So government has spent your future. This is the biggest generational transfer of wealth in the history of the world...The American Dream will be as elusive and mythical as the Greek Dream.

If the federal government were to increase every single tax by 30% it would be enough to balance the books--in 25 years. Except that it wouldn't. Because if you raised taxes by 30%, government would spend even more than it already does, on the grounds that the citizenry needed more social program and entitlements to copensate for their sudden reduction in disposable income...

You thought you were the idealistic youth of the Obama era, but in fact you're the designated fall guys. You weren't voting for "the future," but to deny yourself the very possibility of one--like turkeys volunteering to waddle around with an Audacity of Thanksgiving bumper sticker on your tush.

Instead of swaying glassy-eyed behind President Obama at his campaign rallies singing "we are the hopeychange," you should be demanding that the government spend less money on smaller agencies with fewer employees on lower salaries.

Because if you don't, there won't be a future...

So, the next time Obama tells Joe the Plumber he wants to "spread the wealth around," it should be pointed out that you can't spread it until you've earned it." (After America, Mark Steyn)

As someone who may not be in the 1% but is tired of seeing those who pay zero income tax get income tax refunds...I'm going to try to pay as little tax to be squandered as possible. Sort of like when John Kerry moved his yacht across state lines to avoid paying taxes.
