S.W. Stock: you couldn't be more wrong. These high rollers make the arguments that they do to help solidify their position in society. Don't you get it?

As usual, it's always somebody else's fault. Right, Jerry?

"The strongest argument I have heard for maintaining an estate tax has been made by William Gates Sr.,... An attorney who established the second-largest law firm in Seattle,..." - S.W. Stock, White Bear Lake

I assume that law firms hires many, many people and if that law firm represents the Gates estate, what's going to happen to those people if half that law firm has to be given to the government?

If all the wealth of the country is put in the hands of the government, how long will it take before the USA becomes like West Africa?

When President Obama said that "change hasn't come fast enough for too many Americans", he wasn't talking about issues that can wait. For Americans who have lost their jobs, who have no way to pay the mortgage or the rent or put food on the table, for Americans who have no health insurance, the change President Obama spoke about could mean the difference between being homeless and having a roof over your head, starving or feeding your children, and even life or death.

You don't have to live in a third-world country to receive a third-world wage.

I hope we can change direction.

Jerry Sundall, Woodbury

I know myself and many others that have lost their jobs to out sourcing. Now we also have age discrimination in the hiring of people 50 and older (maybe under 50). With these 2 way to familiar things going on we will become a third world country ourselves except for the rich 1 percent in this country. We need to get back to manufacturing in this country or we are in big trouble.
