Being a member of this band myself, I'd like to mention how exciting this trip is for us. For most of us, it'll be the farthest we have gone with the band. It's exciting to see how all of our hard work over the years has paid off. This is probably the greatest thing to have happen to us. Mr. Grauer is an amazing director and in my 3 years in the band so far, I've got to say we've been amazing. And it's mostly thanks to him.

We kids have to thank you Moms(and Dads) too. You guys do so much for it and none of us really notice.

I'm a proud band mom too, and I hope that everyone who reads this article realizes that there are GREAT teenagers out there, and not just in New Milford! I read a lot of nasty stuff on these forums about teenagers, but that's just because you aren't paying attention or you're looking for bad stuff. This particular group actually wins awards when it travels for good behavior -- can you imagine that of a group of 150 teenagers??? They work so hard at everything they do and we grownups should be pleased that the next generation is way better than it's made out to be in the media!
