sounds like some people should stay home, and fall on their own property, or better yet learn to stay up-right, and please do not ride any thing

These fools who try to sue will never win. The parks have vast resources and manpower to catch them in their lies. Good for the parks, theft and vandalism cost the parks enough. No wonder the price is high, they have to insure themselves against money hungry liars.

they whine how they hate lawyers until its time for a divorce and that laywer saves them thousands or when they have to go to traffic court for a DUI or speeding and that lawyer keeps them out of jail
Well Jerry I've got a clue for you, I'm 58y/o and with the exception of encountering a lawyer in the Army to make out a will before I went overseas I have never needed or wanted the services of a lawyer. I have been deposed in suits and testifiied in cases as part of my job but I have never had a lawyer of my own. Don't lump. Personal injury lawyers are leaches praying on stupid people!
The legal profession has tied up the government made laws to "protect" us and have screwed up this country royally!
Defend them all you want but they are what is wrong with this country today!

Oh well here's my opinion and personal observances.....I work in an emergency room and we see loser after loser coming in WANTING to be hurt so they can sue somebody. You'd never think someone would get pissed off if you told them everything you found was OK and that their injury appears very minor, but they do. Believe it or not, some of the maddest people I've ever seen in the ER were mad because you told them they were NOT hurt. Then, of course, they storm out......often without the limp they came in with. You can spot these people a mile off. I've seen people who would make it a life goal to get on SSI disability, and many I've seen were much younger and healthier than I. And sadly, many times they would sooner or later succeed. Anyhow, I'm not saying all claims are frivulous. Many are very legitimate, as I'm sure some of these are. However I can tell you this....there's a whole lotta people out there wanting to sit on their butts and live off somebody else.

I Have to admit... i laughed so hard at these people who try to blame their stupid mistakes on the parks. Come on people really?

Hey Scott Powers how about actually working a day in these parks? Then you will really find out what these lowly workers go through!

And everyone else who thinks its a walk in the park!

Amazing how idiots seem to always drag politics into a story that has NOTHING to do with politics.
This story is about mostly greedy litigants looking for a quick easy payday.
Does it matter what political party, race, culture, etc..., you are a part of? I don't think so. Greedy is greedy. Period.
Of course this has a political component. One Party clearly has a pronounced leaning toward Trial Attorneys and the other Party wishes to limit punitive damage awards through tort reform. Are we supposed to pretend not to notice that there is a difference in the two Parties?

Reading through these lawsuits - the majority of which are absurd - would tend to make one want to disassociate this issue from the Democratic Party. That is, if he or she was a member of that Party. The truth can be a bitter pill.

As I read over them, it appears to me that alot of the lawsuits are filed against the theme parks for the neg. of other guest contrubuiting to the injury. Why should the parks pay for someone elses stupidity? GO after the ones who truly caused it. Rear-ended at the go carts...well duh. Just watch them. That is what the people do. They act like it a personal vendetta. It not. Grow up. If you want someone else to pay for your vaction, lie, go on welfare, you will have extra money, go on vacation. Problem solved.

LMAO
And who is surprised by this?
Every other billboard in this damn town is paid for by some lowest-fruit grabbing ambulance chaser!

And that's because the 'people of morals' and ethics would never use them...but then...as we see the percentages in this town change....so disappear the ethics and morals !

The comment about the drunk being abused by security is probably true. Theme park security personnel are on a power trip. Universal bans approximately 25k people a year, confiscating passes, and kicking people to the curb. The ban lasts for a year, permanent, and the person can be arrested by OPD. Once security engages someone, they don't back down.

And you wonder why Orlando is top 20 in crime, and 7th most abandoned city by Forbes. It's because the cops are at Disney and Universal writing up trespass warnings while the real criminals are free to roam the streets. The statistics don't lie.

I remember when the phone book was filled with people’s phone numbers and addresses in the good old days. Have you looked a phone book today? Yes they do still exist; however, about 75% of it is lawyer ads. Times have changed!

What these articles fail to mention is that there are signs posted and recordings playing warning about turbulent rides. What they fail to mention is at the "special events" such as Mardi Gras and HHN, most people are drinking.

This entire society is "sue happy". Too drunk to watch where you are walking? Fall and hurt yourself? It is fine...just hire and attorney.

Some people make a lifetime out of these lawsuits in supermarkets, at fairs, at theme parks or anywhere they know they are going to get money. Granted, there are legitimate lawsuits (carnival rides that come apart in mid cycle) but for the most part many of these suits are completely unfounded.

Biased reporting, without examination of all facts is not reporting, it is opinion.
