Guess what Norma Ray? The days of new Harleys, nice homes, new pick ups trucks, ocean cruises and bass boats, all for 2 or 3 hours a day of honest labor are so history. In a flat, smart, small world your
wrench turning ability is worth squat. You no longer will live 10 times better than others who work 70 hours a week just because the sperm lottery dropped your uneducated self in the USA. And there is not one thing your shop steward, or you congressman, can do about it. Best suck it up and go to work.
WOW! Bitter much? What do YOU do for a living?

Perhaps a little. We can, like Mr. Dobbs, blame the "illegal Mexicans", generations ago it was the Irish, the Italians...they might as well have their turn at bat. But right now I am retired, after a long, diverse working life stretching from the factory floor to the board room. And this class and income envy, combined with all the old poor pitiful me stuff from folks who still live 10 times better than people from other nations, who work 5 times harder, and are just as deserving, gets to me after a while. And most of it comes from my generation, the "me" generation. for generations American's did not resent the success of others, they tried to achieve it. Now they believe they are entitled to it.

We let this happen to the young people entering the workforce without skills, motivation or education. They are just acting out based on our examples. And now each one of them gets to support 1/2 a retiree, us. So let us all worry about perks for VIPs at Disneyland, it seems to be almost too perfect of a reflection of our times.
