Good for Russia, for defending it's borders with the help of their old Soviet Republic friends. With the Americans and NATO sniffing around, eager to stick their behinds into yet another coutnry, because their 700 plus military bases aren't enough for them, the poor things. It is super great that the Russians are there.

Yes, super great! Seriously this forum so far only is peasants. Russia does nothing for our country - only people are too stupid to see that. Do your math, and do your research. You write from America - why? You run away from our country to US and say how bad is US. Why you didnt go Russia if it is so good? You like everyone else just talk without thought or research.
Check the numbers, and tell me how much money Russian base spends in our country. Tell me how many jobs that base creates? Im sure you dont know, or your comments were not so ignorant.

Russia gives your people 100 000`s of jobs idiot! Tomorow Russia will close the border and banish your workers back home and the day after tomorow your country will be starving. Now tell me, how many jobs does USA give your people? lol.

Alexey Have you worked or lived in Kyrgyzstan? Have you worked or lived in Russia being Kyrgyz? We as Americans in Kyrgyzstan know we are guests and how big of an asset Kyrgyzstan has been allowing us as guests in their country... Especially considering the amount of pressure Kyrgyzstan must have to face from Russia and China for us being here while trying to strengthen themselves as an independent nation. With that said we do everything we can in showing our gratitude from compensating the country for the base lease, fuel, parking, etc... to providing fundraisers/humanitarian assistance in the areas of need in Kyrgyzstan. Just like we take care of good people back home in america... We try to always keep the good in mind in Kyrgyzstan.

All what you give Kyrgizia is nothing to compare with what they get from Russia - JOBS. Will you give 100 000s of business visa to citizens of Kyrgizia? No? So you can`t replace Russia for them. Without work in Russia they will be starving. Your miliary base will not provide their families with food.

First of all we are NOT replacing Russia by any means. Secondly Kyrgyz are employed on the base at a salary that is considerably better than what they can make working in the city. Obviously 100,000 Kyrgyz do not work on the base but as I said they are compensated pretty good and we treat them with respect. As far as the 100,000s figure... Where do you get that? I am just curious is all and not insinuating that you are wrong. You are right that the base cannot feed all families but much work is done for their beautiful country providing schools with supplies, warm blankets and jackets as well as hundreds of millions a year given by the U.S. for use of their airport, fuel, parking, etc.
All I hope for is that we can all benefit (Kyrgyzstan, Russia, China... Central Asia for that matter) and respect and get along with each other.

If I`m wrong that can only mean that I underestimated it. You can ask your acquaintances from Kyrgistan on that matter.
As for US military base, I think US has no business in Kyrgistan. You`d btter have your troops deployed on Mexican border.

The wonderful west just wants to win the popularity contest. It is not in the business of giving jobs to those who need it. They are there to get what they can from those countries.

More than Americans do. Americans only go into countries to get something out of it, not to give anything.

They are only there to cause trouble and to get their hands on whatever oil resources they can. It is all about greed.

The USA is there to benefit themselves and to horn in on any oil resources in the region so that the USA who uses half the worlds oil resources and wastes them is interested in oil and not the people of Khyrgystan, Russia or China or central asia. Khyrsgystan, bewar and put an end to that base. If you can get the americans out. I suspect Khyrghystan will have lots of trouble trying to get the Americans out.
