This indictment is great news. It may be easier to hold the Russians to account for their action. The U.S. intelligence agencies determined in June and July of 2016 that Russians were responsible for the Democratic National Committee (DNC) hack, but they could not identify the individual. I read the indictment and it is very thorough and detailed. Great work by Mr. Mueller and Mr. Rosenstein.

When the hack was first revealed, President Obama expelled Russian diplomats known to engage in espionage, closed two Russian facilities (in New York and Maryland) and spoke personally to President Putin to let him know his team was caught, and he should stand down. The DOD and the intelligence agencies planned a very powerful cyber counter attack, but President Obama did not pull the trigger. He wanted to avoid escalation and was warned that the U.S., while very capable of attacking Russia, was much more vulnerable due to our higher level of automation and greater use of the Internet. We might come off much worse. Susan Rice counseled deescalation.

It seems to today that President Trump took her advice, to the extent of publicly agreeing with President Putinís lie that Russia had no role. What I donít know is whether Trump is saying that for some strategic reason or he seriously believes that Russia is innocent. If so, who does he think is responsible for the DNC hacks. What do you think?

Why didn't Trump demand that Putin hand over these Russian criminals?

I am glad that President Trump was circumspect in his PUBLIC comments for the same reason that President Obama was equally careful. If you back a fellow like President Putin into a corner, he has to talk tough and maybe act tough so as to not show weakness in front of his constituents. I am hoping that there are diplomatic efforts to deescalate.

It would not be a better or safer world today if President Trump had called out President Putin in a public press conference. President Obama acted forcefully when the DNC hack was first traced to the Russians in June of 2016, but he did not do so in a public way. He spoke to President Putin privately, playing the diplomatic long game.

Perhaps President Trump is doing the same, but I don't think he is that smart, thoughtful, or subtle.

The sad thing is that if cyber sniping escalates into a cyber world war, right now we would lose as our infrastructure is way more automated and, hence, vulnerable. Perhaps President Trump understood that and stopped short of insulting a bully who can kick our butt.

I do not like President Trump. He' acts foolishly, bullies, and lies constantly, but this time I think he did the right thing.

I like him for all of those traits. You know where he stands. No pussy footing around with political correctness. Iím sure what he does and says will help the US politically. Everyone knows he is subject to be impulsive. I like him for that trait. He trusts himself. I trust him too. He is my President and I did vote for him SO I WILL SUPPORT HIM 100%.

Trump may be a joke but he beat Hillary and that was one good laugh. The other good laugh is he is YOUR President.

. Iím really glad to hear he has some support. He has none from either party and is surviving. He has helped the American Citizens. Now there are more jobs than people to fill them. I think he may approve citizenship for some of the illegals to fill the vacancies in jobs he has created. Iím really proud of Trump. I must say iím Disappointed in Schumer and Maxine Waters. Maxine may very well have Alzheimerís, she has created a dangerous situation with her loose lips and what she has said will probably get someone hurt or killed. Perhaps it is time Maxine retire and go to a rest home.

Unless you are an illegal alien Trump is your President no matter how many times you say he isnít. You appear to be one of the inbred dorks that voted Hillar and cannot accept the fact she lost and continues to be a loser.

Rather meaningless since the indictments can never be served.

They did however get the word Russia in the news.

Impulsive people can be fun and amusing in situation comedies, but in serious matters I would like a President who does research and thinks before acting.

I have to question how you know where he stands when he contradicts himself so many times. On Monday he sided with President Putin on interference in elections. On Tuesday and Wednesday he emphatically sided with U.S. intelligence agencies, on Friday and Saturday he went back to his Monday position, except with caveats. Which position is his real one, and do you have any confidence that he will hold the same position tomorrow?

On Theresa May, one day he was ferociously critical, and the next he was fawning over her strength and resolve.

On Korea, he was brutally critical of Kim Jong Un to the point of name calling like a middle schooler, until he complete turned around and praised him as a strong leader.

On the Access Hollywood tape, he first said that "it was just locker room talk", then he said he was sorry, then, after the election he said that it was not his voice on the tape. What's his real position?

He has the intellect and consistency of a magic eight ball.

I am confident that you will continue to support him. His supporters are steadfast, and all people have an exceptional ability to rationalize their position and ignore fact. E.O. Wilson famously said that humans, are a rationalizing species, not a reasoning one.

I hope you find satisfaction in supporting President Trump, but I also hope that you understand, that to support him you need to accept an endless series of lies and contradictions.

And what about all those bombs that fell in prior administrations?

The "deal" which President Trump says he made with North Korea -- cessation of military exercises in exchange for stopping work on nuclear weapons and missiles, is precisely the deal which President Xi of China negotiated and offered to the U.S. a year earlier when President Trump was still calling names and threatening war, while sending an "armada" consisting on one carrier battle group to Australia while saying it was on its way to North Korea. What a buffoon.

North Korea stopped their research seven months ago, long before President Trump's meeting, after President Kim met with the South Korean President.

What has happened since President Trump's visit? We have canceled our military exercises, North Korea has resumed production of nuclear materials, and North Korea has been demanding more money while not taking calls and meetings with U.S. officials. President Trump is reportedly complaining to his team while doing his popinjay routine for his fanboys.

While the North Korean meeting is proclaimed as a success in President Trump's tweet-driven alternate reality, echoed by a his pet media, the world press say the U.S. was taken and that President Trump is an ill-informed marshmallow. He had made America a laughingstock.
