Unfortunately I'm a man swimming far aside the flow of current state of deals in Azerbaijani banking system, but what is for oil and gas industry not long ago I myself being among a group of international ecologists have visited Azerbaijan and particularly the country's gas producing objects. And here actually I have nothing to say good at all. Here and their our commission met unacceptable violations every step we did, starting it with observance of fire safety, pitiful technical conditions of Soviet old equipments Azerbaijanis use to extract energy resources and going further up to those tangled financial machinations, Azerbaijani oligarchs use to pocket money that Western companies regularly allocate for modernization of gas extracting process in Azerbaijan. In one of the gas extracting platform exists a certain explosion hazard but... Azerbaijanis do not even think about stopping their works. Instead... an employer just has raised insurance guarantees to his workers. About the damage to the environment I guess there is no even a need to say... 90% of Azerbaijanis working in plants suffer a rainbow of diseases hardly striking their breathing passages. Undoubtedly our strongest recommendations were to shut down all gas producing works in Azerbaijan but for sure... who would even think of following it when it comes to gas and financial fruits...
