Gathering of Nations comes to a close

The largest pow-wow in North America wrapped up in Albuquerque Saturday with the crowning of Miss Indian World.

I missed The Gathering of Nations this year. My favorite part is watching the elders dance. They still dance with style and grace. I also love to watch the other dancers and dances (shawl dance)and their costumes, but watching the elders get out there and do it with grace is a treat!!

To all of you racists who sterotype and make hateful remarks........what group are you going to put down now??? Whatever race you are, take a look around and see how many drunks, druggies and homeless people represent YOUR RACE or maybe even YOU!

I don't think they are trying to put any group down. I think they are pathetic little chumps who cannot stand the thought of anyone else having a good time, so to make themselves feel better, they try to make others look bad. A certain sign of insecurity and not having a life.

Nah, I googled a lot and looked at all manner of sites for them<G>. For the most part I was searching for Chihuahua pics but... The toupee made me roll in laughter too!

I just went to GON for the first time and it was SPECTACULAR!It was also very inspiring and moving to see that a people so decimated by a foreign culture has been able to sucessfully adapt to it, yet still maintain and pass onto future generations a sense of identity.
I might add that I did not see any drinking whatsoever, until I got up to Central Ave. after the show. And those drunks were NOT Indian. WE ALL BLEED RED, my friends!!!!

Pretty indeed but two things come to my mind, one she does not look Indian and two she lives in Beverly Hills, CA home of the very wealthy.

Would like to know what part of her is Indian and what percentage too.
