I picked up a copy to peruse while in a bookstore.
The stories were recycled stories that had been put in print like the one about the Deer experience. When I saw how poorly it was done and that it wasn't a Memoir like Paula Deen's "It Ain't All About the Cookin'" or other memoirs I have read, it got left on the table UNPURCHASED.

The most signiificant thing she could think of to tell of her youngest daughter was that she got jelly on her hands and dress and then had sudden diarrhea. The mom claims she took her to church anyway.

Many of the kid stories, Amy claimed to haev the kids alone and we know she had a nanny or nannies, Gary's mother helping her and a huge family of her own.

It came across as very FAKE to me.

They still take a Nanny when they travel. That's not the issue. The issue is that they pretend they do it on their own and they don't. They also have a glam squad who worked on everyone for the recent photo shoot.

They should have done a before and after photo shoot. Like Jamie Lee Curtis.

She doesn't even seem like a real person to me.
Who has seven in their family and looks anything like that?

If she is in such a great place in her marriage, why does she have to get down to 145 lbs. and have a Glam Squad follow her around?

Is she afraid he will find someone younger, prettier, and with a great smile and leave her
like he did his first wife?

Does she tell about how she traveled out of town and met her now husband at golf tournaments and other places?

Now, when she lived on Riverstone and there were pics of her fairy tale life with her three kids, that was an awe moment. Beautiful house, beautiful pool, cute kids.

The Oprah show was hyped and then they didn't really show anything. Amy Grant's outhouse.
Big deal.

They should have called the segment Everybody Poops. She talks about the toilet a lot.
Maybe she has a POTTY obsession or wanted to be a proctologist but couldn't finish her degree.

It seems she is losing her voice. She has to make strained faces to even come close to hitting the notes.

Supposedly, she is writing songs again and will hit the studio soon.

Her family had or has a condo in Destin, Florida. That's the beach deal.

In radio interviews and live interviews, it is noticed that Amy takes the kids on vacation by herself a lot. No big deal. Just an observation. Snow skiing and to the beach, etc.

Apparently, he doesn't like to do the same thing she or his kids like to do. First was a dude ranch & snow skiing and the beach. He has said in live interviews that he can't really ski.
He prefers golf. Boring.

Many other great memoirs out theirs. Too bad she didn't "take a little time" with hers. Not much of a "Legacy" to leave to her kids which she says was her intent. Maybe the publisher told her what THEY wanted and she had to stay in those confines. How much do you think this book brought her and are any of the proceeds going to charity?

I agree, if Amy would've taken more time for this book "Mosaics", it may have been better quality. Like the song "Takes a Little Time", even that cd could have had more stylish songs, many acoustic sounds heard: some on the boring side. All in all, not too bad of a book, I like some of the new song lyrics; curious to hear the final song production of some.
I don't know if "pieces" was the best way to sum up; many short stories. Too many song lyrics took up space of what could have been filled up with more events.
This book is far from a depressed Amy! People need to quit making mountains out of molehills.
