The mind recoils in horror. It would be hard for me to imagine a worse experience.

To achieve such a horrible, nightmarish occurance would require adding Branson, Missouri, human sacrifice and Pat Robertson into the mix.

Ever? Ever? Better than ALL of the men in the 20th century who revolutionized the use of the guitar?

So what you're saying is that to be the BEST EVER you just need to be the best at COUNTRY?

COuntry music is dead. Period. Just 'cause you guys desperately need some music to lose your trailer home to, doesn't mean that it has any more relevency than the 8-track cassette...

Well, maybe not EVER. And...I don't live in a trailer thank you. I don't see anything wrong with that either. You sure nuff can't take it with you,so what does it matter really. The best guitar may be Chet Atkins. Country is different than years ago. I like it much better. Yeah, some are crossovers to the bubble gum pop. I find good music in all types. Never was a country fan until I heard the "Flatts" and Toby. Give it a listen, you will find some u like for sure. Let me know what you think.

I've already heard Rascal Flatts, Brooks & Dunn and all the rest of 'em. I used to work in the Entertainment section of Target and so I've heard my share of MOST of the genres. And that's not to mention all of the other places I've had to endure it all just because I happen to live in Norman.

Sorry, it just doesn't cut it. It's still extremely formulaic and boring. The fact is that Country is dead. There is just no new sounds coming out of the genre as a whole and anything that DOES try to break the mold merely borrows from some other genre. In fact, a trend I have noticed is that anything really new is just a cover of a pop song. It's gotten so bad that they can't even come up with their own lyrics...

As a side note, I've delivered pizza to Gill and he's actually a major douche...

So....it sounds like your taste is in your mouth. Pizza anyone? You are entitled to your opinion. Just don't be so small minded as to say any one genre of music is All bad. You must be a punk rock teen ager. No offense intended.

Wow, you really pulled out the, no, sorry, I was gonna try and say something to make it seem like your response was even remotely coherent but there's only so much one man can do.

Anyways, yeah, Country sucks, you're a dolt, water's wet. Just let me know if you want me to clue you in on any other amazingly obvious tidbits...

Wow, you really took it personally. Did you invent country music or something and you have some sort of stake in the matter?

Weird thing is, I've met people like you in the past. I used to date a woman who had a degree in medieval music forms.

The main difference between you and her, though, is that she understood that the music that she loved was as dead as the dodo and was consequently not irrationally wacky when someone said so...

No, I'm just the first one to COMMENT on the post. Also, the reason I put my real name up is that I'm not afraid of the facts and don't have some need to hide behind an alias.

The fact hat you needed to "look me up" on MySpace means that you have a lot more riding on this than I do and maybe you should just back up and get some perspective...
