It's about time. There hasn't been anything CHRISTIAN about the YMCA/YWCA for generations, maybe never, so it's appropriate that they drop the pretense.

We've always called it the "Y." Don't see anything new here.

you're so right...except for their hiring practices...the y routinely fired homosexuals, so that's keeping in the "christian" tradition.

Well, that's good to know. There certainly isn't anything Christian about homosexual behavior. But it is confusing. The Village People seemed to extol the benefits of the YMCA and surely they knew. And so many wedding attendees, Christian?, engage in singing and dancing the Village People song about those benefits. Always gives me such a warm feeling to see a bunch of young people, and others, cavorting around at a wedding praising homosexual behavior, having just left a church and a solemn ceremony.

Does this mean that they are going to merge with the YWCA? I don't think so.

and, obviously, there's nothing 'christian' about you or your opinions. didn't you learn anything about 'judge not, lest ye be judged?' apparently you failed that lesson. pathetic.

Brilliant. That's why I think it's so harsh of people to judge those like Adolph Hitler and Pol Pot and Jeffrey Dahmer and John Wayne "Gay-See". I hear so many ugly things said about those fine men and I always say, "Who are we to judge. Judge not that you be not judged." So thanks for reminding everyone that we are not qualified to judge anything anybody does, no matter how evil, wicked, perverted or disgusting.

Another organization that has transformed into an existance of suckling off of the teat of The State. The word "Christian" offends the secular humanists whom now rule our crumbling, declining, post Christian culture.

They've never done anything evangelical in the first place.
