I've had good natural results from Ginger.
It is a natural anti inflammatory and also antihistamine. Ginger beer works well.

Hopefully it will start to get better- my doctor told me it usually lasts 2 or 3 weeks and then gets better

Try meclizine when you are dizzy. It doesn't cure you but it helps. I also take gingko biloba as a vitamin supplement. I must say, I feel unsteady BUT I NEVER have vertigo attacks anymore. So I think it works. I also use the seasick bands. You can get them at the store for about $8 at wal mart. They work wonders for the nausea. Also, you can ask the doctor for a scopalimine patch that you put behind ur ear. I havent tried that yet but im thinkin about it. Good luck to all and God bless all of you.

I had vertigo for 12 days and finally something worked to make me feel better, even if I'm not completely cured yet. I started out with meclizine which did nothing but make me tired and high. Then the doc gave me a steroid treatment and nasacortAQ which worked. I don't feel normal yet but I feel a lot better. My head still feels heavy but the spinning is gone.

i am losing my mind. have had vertigo before but not this bad. first bout of it was only from changing positions. now i feel i have a "bobble" head i am unstable walking. i appear drunk. the spinning hits if i change positions or shift mt eyes. i was in er last night. the nurse felt that i had panic/anxiety. she pushed benadryl directly through my veins, and some anti anxiety meds. pissed me off! i explained the panic was coming from the symptoms not my state of mind. i am 40 years old and am on effexor for anxiety. i can differentiate between vertigo and anxiety. i am at a loss. my bfriend is frustrated. i am a single mom who just started a new job that will not tolerate me not coming to work. i can not walk a straight line. ct of head was normal as per er dr. what is goin on?

I HAD VERTIGO FOR OVER TWO YEARS! DOCTORS TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO BUT GIVE ME MECLIZINE. I TOOK IT BUT IT DID NO GOOD.
FINALLY I WENT TO A NEW NEUROLOGIST. I HAVE EPILESY. HE SAID IT WAS NO WONDER THE MECLIZINE WASN'T WORKING, I WAS TAKING TOO MANY ANTI-SEIZURE MEDICATIONS (4). HE TOLD ME TO STOP TAKING MY A.M. MEDICATION OF ONE OF THE MEDS, AND IT WORKED THE NEXT DAY!! TWO WEEKS LATER I DISCONTINUED THIS MED AND AM STILL SEIZURE AND VERTIGO FREE. HOPE THIS INFO HELPS YOU

I have had vertigo since I was 10 years old and I'm now 17. Nobody seems to believe me. The Meclizine pills my doctor gave me made a WORLD of difference. But my stepmom flushed them. Then I went back to the doctor and they told me to take OTC meds and they don't do anything but make me sleepy. I dont see why people don't believe me. I can't do anything fun and now its affect me riding in a car.....I dont know what to do

Hello every body I just wanted to say thankyou to all who wrote to me in regards to my vertigo it was great to know im not the only one going mad.... My vertigo went away after 4months of hell I tried serc, xanax, half teaspoon ginger in 250ml water, eigth Tsp of caynne pepper in glass of water, head exercisers, chiroprater and banging my head against a brick wall but nothing helped it made me more dizzy or just tired. I have enjoyed my vertigo free life for the last 20 months until 10 days ago I got a viral infection which has set of my vertigo and here goes hell again :0( this time Im not so scared and am still able to go to work just. Going to see my neaurologist on thursday. I am going to see a physio on Monday who specialises in vertigo to do a whats called the Epley Manoeuvre it apparently stops the dizziness and cures the vertigo but that doesnt mean you wont get attacks again and it can also done by the neaurologist aswell. I also got onto a sight called www.dizzyfix.com for anyone that suffers from vertigo please share any of your cures you have tried. its the worst feeling in the world to have i would just aboout do anything to stop this spinning sensation. Its always there. This time my husband is more understanding so, he didnt leave me after all. Has anyone tried this equitab and has it worked? I am going to try a Ginger beer like Miguel said and see if that helps. I also take tegretol for epilepsy so, my doctor wont give me to many things due to interaction. I have been back on serc but ran out yesterday and I feel alot my dizzy without them night time is the worst. I have been doing the Brandt-Daroff exercise 5 on either side morning and nightIt cant hurt although I wouldnt know if its helping you get dizzy from being dizzy if that makes any sense. Anyway hope every one gets better or is better and send me remedies if any cheers Debbie

Hi everyone. I too have had vertigo on and of for over 20 years. The attacks happen regulary approx' every 3 weeks and last for a few hours until I started taking ginko biloba daily. I use the product supplied by Alfred Volgel as I think it is the purest. I now go much longer without an attack. It really is the worst, most frightening feeling ever. I also have M.E. but can put up with that it's the vertigo that I hate. I found that Sturgeron Forte helped for a while but after it being a God send has now stoped working. I too am tempted to try equitab. Has anyone found it to work?? I had the epley manoevre but unfortunately I dont have BPPV so no cure there! I fel on my head as achild so really think it may have a link. I have such tension in my neck and shoulders so think that I may restirct the blood flow, hence the ginko biloba. I am about t try a product called periwinkle, a herbal supplement. I will let you know the result. Good luck one and all. Take care.

IF ANYONE IS TAKING MEDS FOR ANYTHING, CHECK OUT "MEDICATIONS THAT CAUSE VERTIGO." ONE OF MINE WAS LISTED. WHEN I STOPPED TAKING IT, THE VERTIGO WAS GONE
