1 when your state keeps people (not fleas as some of your politicians say) in a ghetto... ask yourselves this; a state that clearly doesnt value the lives of non jews as much as jews is neither democratic, nor just but racist. the palestinians have been terrorised on land they have lived on for thousands of years, land that has only been israel for just over 60. if that is how you treat your hosts, with utter contempt and with disproportionate violence do you really wonder that they will try and fight back? with whatever means they can. despicable violence undoubtedly but please just look at yourselves, your arrogance and desire to simply crush these people; not ever compromising on what you demand is yours, will never bring you peace. your hatred and arrogance will only bring your country further pain and misery sadly. and you show your hatred by your comments about vanessa redgrave at this appalingly sad time. she has simply in the past expressed her concerns for those palestinians who live in appalling conditions. she shows her humanity, you show your inhumanity and that will be the undoing of your country. |

--- NO I DO NOT AGREE WITH HAMAS, AND BELIEVE THEY OR ANY OTHER TERRORISTS SHOULD BE IMPRISONED FOR LIFE. BUT MY POINT IS HOW DARE YOU USE THIS FORUM FOR YOUR HATRED OF VANESSA REDGRAVE AND HAVE LITTLE COMPASSION FOR THE DEATH OF A BEAUTFIUL, WONDERFUL WOMAN AS IS/WAS NATASHA RICHARDSON WHOSE LIFE ENDED SO TRAGICALLY!!! DO YOU GET NOW WHY YOU ARE SO IRRELEVANT AND ONE TRACK MINDED? HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND OR IS IT JUST YOUR HEART THAT YOU LOST ALONG THE WAY? |

mmm. i am not from devon, nor a tetrapod.
You are marvelous, in that your denial of what I have written is in fact the ultimate validation. Your response is to seek to belittle and dehumanise, just as you do with all those who have a different point of view. so yes jen, I am an ultimately inferior being, not of course being 'chosen', thank you for confirming all that i have written. |

~~~ That is an absolutely awful MEAN thing to say...Such a very sad situation for any family to endure. The family were all so strong & bold to allow the public to see their grief. We all were there at Natasha's funeral. My heart is in sorrow for them. Rest in heavenly peace, Natasha. |
As one rises to the top of the educated heap in the united States one finds people who are less like Mr. Friedman, an ignorant fool.
Ms. Redgrave is not afraid to stand up for what she believes in, and she has done that all of her life. There are many examples of people who have killed claiming to do it in the name of religion throughout history. during some of those times, Jewish people have fled to lands ruled by Muslims because of the general acceptance of Muslim people for other religions. There are extremists in all groups, and they do not define a religion. |
Dear Ms. Redgrave,
As a middle school student, I traveled to Manhattan to see a movie called Camelot. It was to become one of my favorite movies in my life. I wished when I grew up I could be so lucky to look like Guenevere, as played by you. I missed seeing you in the movies for many years and I pointed out your daughters in movies that my children, especially my daughters, liked to watch. I proudly told them they were daughters of my favorite actress, and you still are. I purchased two tickets to see you in "A Year of Magical Thinking", and I planned to see it with my college-aged daughter. She had grown up and decided to move out of my family home several months before the play opened. She was still on poor terms with me and she did not go to see the play with me after all. I must say I cried thinking of her during the play, but realized as long as she was alive things could change for the better, and they have. After the play I waited with my friend outside the stage door to see you. A man began speaking to you first, and he said something like "Oh, I just happened to pick up a ticket today to see you". I thought that was quite rude. I wanted to say, " You are my favorite actress, and I am so happy to finally see a play with you in person in the starring role -- it fulfilled a dream of mine!" But I shyly said nothing, and, like some others, asked you to sign my playbill. My mother passed away from an aneurysm when she went to Manhattan to have an MRI about 20 yrs ago. I continued to go to work the day she had her test, and she went in a cab with my grandmother. My doting father also went to work that day, and we did not know she had a fatal bleeding aneurysm. The ambulance took her to NY Hospital. she looked so small lying in the ward, and I stayed in the hospital overnight to pray for her possible recovery, even though we were told she was 'brain dead'. She was very young looking, and was 54 yrs old. We never expected her to die young -- her mother lived to age 96. After burying her, the doctor told my father she had a very high chance of survival if the aneurysm had been found and operated on. It was difficult to hear those words. Each year, I mourn her on two days -- the day her aneurysm broke (which was March 16th) and the day he was taken off the respirator (which was March 17). I do not celebrate St. Patricks Day, or go to the parade, ever. I am sorry for the loss of your daughter. She was quite beautiful and she reminded me so much of you. She seemed to have your vitality. Please stay strong and continue to do the good work that you do. The world needs Vanessa Redgrave and her beautiful strength. Best regards, Doreen |
