I played Iras, to Vanessa's brilliant Cleopatra in "Antony and Cleopatra" in 1986. I went to see Venus yesterday on her birthday. Vanessa's performance in Venus was wonderful. As an actress she is living proof that there are no small parts. Not that her part in Venus was small, but whatever she does, leading role or supporting, on stage or screen, she makes her characters come alive. Happy Birthday Vanessa from Maddie. P.S. I still have the photograph that was in the glass case outside the Theatre Royal Haymarket, of Iras dying from Cleopatra's kiss.

First let me begin by telling you i know how you feel 11 years ago my 31 year old son fell off a bike and hit his head. He was brain dead. It was so hard seeing him lying there breathing like he was alive but the machines were doing the breathing for him. I donated his organs and then went about figuring out how to survive in this world when you were in so much pain and wished you had died also. I know what you're going through. I'm the same age as Natasha but life doesn't dicriminate.

There is no closer bond then between a mother and her child. Everybody should respect that despite any political feelings. It is not important. It's only hurtfull and besides the point.
