English actor Rupert Everett reportedly accused British soldiers fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan of being “whining wimps.”Acording to the U.K.’s Daily Mail, the 49-year-old gay actor — whose father is a retired major in the British Army — said the troops today “are always whining about the dangers of being killed. Oh my God, they are such wimps now!” he said. Oh boy this guy is absolutely screwed. You hate the war, never the soldiers. There is going to be a huge backlash from this statement, just wait.

Most people will say "Rupert Everett WHO"? This is not a household name. I saw him in one good movie, 10 years ago with Julia Roberts. He is not a star. He is barely an actor and a whiny little 6itch himself.

As for the 'whiny troops', considering the stupid war they were sent to, and the low quality equipment they were sent with, they have EVERY REASON TO WHINE to the cowardly politicians who so nonchalantly sent them into such a dangerous and pointless war.

Being gay he is not a 100% man, being an actor no one has heard of, so as a person, his opinion amounts to nothing. He needs to change his vocation and go to the front, see for himself what it means to shoot or be shot. People like him should be ignored.
