English actor Rupert Everett reportedly accused British soldiers fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan of being “whining wimps.”Acording to the U.K.’s Daily Mail, the 49-year-old gay actor — whose father is a retired major in the British Army — said the troops today “are always whining about the dangers of being killed. Oh my God, they are such wimps now!” he said. Oh boy this guy is absolutely screwed. You hate the war, never the soldiers. There is going to be a huge backlash from this statement, just wait.

4 As for the 'whiny troops', considering the stupid war they were sent to, and the low quality equipment they were sent with, they have EVERY REASON TO WHINE to the cowardly politicians who so nonchalantly sent them into such a dangerous and pointless war. |

1 I found his comment rude and immature. My dad was in the Persian Gulf War. Has Mr Everett ever served?? I think not. |

1 Face it, actors are as disconnected from reality as politicians, they live in a pampered over compensated fantasy world. How about we let Sean Penn fight on the front lines in Afghanistan, see how that works out. |
