Charities Wary of Toys After Recalls

I don't understand what would make people just dump recalled items. They can be returned for credit. That's why it's a recall. Dumping it off on a charity has two negative effects:
1) The buyer just lost out on getting money back
2) The charity now has to deal with something it can't sell
Just keep your receipts and return it to the store if a recall pops up!
