The reason for leaving that out is everyone (relatively speaking) can afford the $79k (or so) price of a ZR1 - the $125k+ price tags and exotic nature makes this more appealing. I agree - from a performance stand point it deserves to be offered, but there are 3 zr1's living on my block in Chicago but no Ferrari's or Astons.

Sorry to tell you but nobody on anybody's block has a new ZR1... because that car isn't in production yet. What you're neighbors probably have are Z06's--which is an extremely formidable car itself (505 horsepower, 3.5 second 0-60). The 2009 ZR1 won't be available till this summer and will cost around $100k.
The ZR1 will have 620 horsepower, 3.2 sec 0-60, and the same carbon-ceramic brakes as rear brakes as the Ferrari Enzo and the same front brakes as the $1.5mil Bugatti Veyron.
Actually the first ZR1 has already been sold to Dave Ressler at the Barrett-Jackson auction for an even $1 million. He will drive it off the production line in Bowling Green, KN when it rolls off.

You are exactly right....my mistake on the ZR1 thing....and the Z06 is certainly a serious car...but not exotic.
