I applaud the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office for taking action to protect animals. I do not believe that anyone can be excused from responsibility for the basic needs of animals in their care; food and water being amongst those needs. The courts will tell the truth.

These animals did not arrive at Penny's in this shape. There is documented evidence that a few of the animals that were in the worst shape arrived at Penny's totally healthy. So please for the love of God people. Stop supporting this woman and her crazy husband.
Stating that Penny and Fernon "tried to be animal advocates" is just a flat out lie. Penny knowingly took in more animals than she could properly care for. She kept on and kept on doing so until they got in the conition that they were when they were taken from her. The athorities do not just come in and take someones animals because they do not buy them cute little sweaters and paint their nails!! She did not feed them....what more do you need to understand that? How is the world is that acceptable for ANYONE??
And you comment about her not being paid is just about the funniest thinsg I have ever heard! None of us get "paid" to rescue animals. We do it because we "truly" LOVE animals and NONE of us takes in more than we can handle. That means if a dog is sitting in the shelter and we do not have room, then Im sorry, but the dog will be humanly euthanized. That is far better than what Penny did to those poor innocent animals that depended on her for everything. In return they were given nothing. Made to site in their own waste, drink green water (if they were even given any at all), had urine soaked fur and raw pad pads from standing in urine. Dogs made to stay in rabbit hutches...I could go on and on. But, you just sit there and support Penny if that's what makes you sleep better at night. I personally would never want that on my conscience. But, hey who am I, just a person that rescues animals, gives them proper vet care, supplys clean food and water and gives them a warm bed at night (inside). Maybe that is not the way a rescue should operate in your eyes.

I know her and hr family. I worked at the makeshift holding area where the seized pets were taken. I remember seeing many of those animals when she first got them.They were healthy, the next time i saw them, they were flea infested and malnourished. I thinkit is a shame that so much money was given, and hardly any ent to the animals. But, she did get a new vechile-from that money??????? The onlyones who should get pity are her kids and the animals!!!
